Up for bid is a very unusual lamp- it is a world globe. The blue tag reads"Underwriters Laboratories UL Portable Lamp Issue BC 16 969" On the back of the globe is the scale. The words"Replogle WORLD HORIZON Series. copyright"Scan-Globe A/S GB" among other information. The plastic globe/lamp stands appx. 16" high, appx. 39" around the center, has a wood base and a 6 foot long cord with an off/on switch. The cord will only fit in an outlet one way. The globe/lamp is in excellent condition. I find no dents, no marks, etc. It works, as you can see by the pictures. The glob e itself is considered a 12 inch globe. The wood is a medium color closer to a dark than a light color. The globe itsel f is a beautiful antique white color and is outstanding when turned on. There is a brass name plaque on it but I am sure it can be removed or maybe a new one can be added with your name on it. It is one of the fines ones that I have seen. I only s ee a couple very minor scratches on the wood st and. I se e no peeling or scratches on the globe itself. Harig. This is a fantastic find of a treasure from the past! This is a detail image of what the earth looked like back in 1972. This piece is in great vintage condition with no cracks, chips, dents, any damages whatsoever and would be a great addition to anyone's collection, a nice statement piece, a really nice lamp for an office. Replogle 12" Globe Light Lamp World Premier Series Antique Style Alabaster Stand
This vintage globe light is in excellent condition and has no damage or issues that I can see. The globe is topographically enhanced and quite beautiful with an antique look. I've shown photos of the bulb you will need to buy for this lamp. The one that was in it burned out and I only had the other small round bulb which doesn't fit through the hole in the bottom. Replacing the bulb is easy. Just loosen one screw and pop the globe off the stand. The cord with the inline switch is in excellent condition, as is the base. I thought it might be marble, but I believe it is alabaster. The brass colored attachments are shiny and in excellent condition as well.

DESCRIPTION Very rare Vintage Replogle Illumined Glass Library Globe. Black painted metal base holds atlas. CONDITION Globe is in excellent condition for its age with only minor signs of wear- I have not tried to clean it. The white spots seen in the photos are just glare. A few light rubs to surface but no tears/holes to map. No damage to glass. Metal base has a few light blemishes. Light Works fine. Up for auction is a large-nearly 18" tall- National Geographic World Globe desk top lamp on a very nice black base. Spins just as a traditional world globe. In fine condition tested and working.
