It is nice and bright with the mountain ranges in relief. The equator tape is still intact and lines up evenly. This world globe measures 12" in diameter and comes on it's original gold metal stand. Union of Soviet Socialist Republics is featured on the globe, as is Ivory Coast and Burma. Antique Tin Globe
This antique tin globe measures about 11.75 inches high and 6.75 inches in diameter. It has some small dimples and spots from rust and paint loss but nothing that would keep this from listing as in good condition. The rust is mostly on the rectangular piece that attaches to the base. I believe its from the 1930s. Making it pre-WWII. It lists the months. Seasons, astrological signs, time in am and pm, and boat and flight paths of famous explorers. The arm that holds the actual globe is tubular and hollow in the inside giving it a retro feel. This would make a great addition to a tin toy or globe collection. Vintage 1960's Modern teak wood Replogle world globe USA rotates on teak stand
A vintage Replogle world globe most likely from the 1960's or so. 12" World Nation Series. It still has Yugoslavia. Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. But best of all it has a great Modern tea k wood stand from that era. It is very stylish.it has a large 8 1/2" wide gold metal ring as the bottom stand. It is connected to a teak wood sphere shape about 7" high. Which is on a slant. That is attached to the gold metal holder that has the lines of latitude. There is a black knob that moves and rotates the globe. It' s in wonderful condition. Clean. With no bad spots on the surface. The top and bottom of the globe, where the metal holder is attached. May have had washers at the point where the rods are inserted. But I a m not sure. See photos 6 and 8. I only say this because the hole is slightly rough and may be it's ... moresuppose to be hidden. As I said. This is just a guess and want to menti on but not a big deal in my opinion. The only tiny flaw is the bottom of the teak stand has a few tiny blue paint spots. It may come off w ith some effor t but I will leave that up to the buyer.see last photo. The Post Office charges an additional'balloon rate' because the box is large and it puts it into a balloon rate. This is on top of the regular shipping price.
