It measures 30" long and 23" round. The stand has 3 legs on it. The globe has been tested and does work and light up. There is a metal axel on it. The globe is in good shape. No signs of wear on it, there is one small spot on bottom of globe where paper has been pull up on the globe. The stand is wooden and oak color, it does have some wear on it but still in good shape. But it is post-1990 for sure. See closeup photo of Russia, it was made after the breakup of the Soviet Union. The Atlas is much older. Copyright 1953, and shows some wear. It has very interesting maps of Africa when many nations were still colonies of European powers, and America only had 48 states. Not sure how the old Atlas ended up with a much newer globe, but I think it's a pretty cool old book. There is also a 1961 paper booklet. the story of the globe" published by Replogle. This globe is in great condition. It has a few minor scuffs on the wooden stand but nothing major. In my opinion it adds to its antique look. It has wheels so it can be transported easily. This is a hard to find light up globe by Replogle. Most likely made in the 1950's. In very good condition. I have not tried to clean this. There are several small superficial scratches that do not detract and the glue that holds the globe together is slightly yellowed. There is also a small dent near the Replogle logo at the Pacific Ocean. Measures about 17" tall from bottom of the base to top of the arm. The base holds a 9" x 3/4" thick book. Total base measurement is 6" x 9" The base and arm are metal in a copper/goldtone finish. The globe lights well. And the cord is in good shape. I am selling this as is. Shipped insured. Antique Replogle Light up Illuminated World Lighted Library Globe Table Stand
Replogle Glass Lighted Library Globe This Globe will no longer be used by us and is deserving of a good home in its present original condition which is super considering its age. It may look similar to others. But It is an earlier model than most out there. It may be a pre-WW II model. Original finish as pictured. There are a couple extremely tiny chips in the map itself, one up close photo shows its size is as small as a letter in the word Indonesia above it. It would touch up with a marker and would not have to be mentioned, but I want to point out the even the smallest imperfections. If this globe wasn't original and extra nice we wouldn't own it. The finish and teture is crazed as it should be and is still very tight and firm all over. There are some very minor nicks in the wooden stand; none are significant or hurt the piece ... morein value or charm. The crazing in both the wood varnish and the map adds beauty and character to the nature and richness of the globes age. The stand is also very strong and firm and not weak or ever broken or repaired. The original factory paper friction reducer washer on the bottom of the globe between the metal discs Where the light switch is attatched to the harp is still present. It is torn and rather than throw it out we have just kept it there. I plan to ship this in 2 boxes. Stand and globe seperate from each other. The paper is nearly useless and slips back and forth as the globe is picked up or moved so it may slip out slightly when shipped. I can tell you that we consider ourselves to be the very best at boxing up an item so you can be assured it will be very well cared for. Shipping is for the lower 48 states only. The piece is beautiful and attracts comments when someone enters the room and spots it. Beautiful Replogle 10" Library globe, lighted with walnut desk stand
Here is the very fine Replogle 10" Library world globe. Lighted and in the wooden stand that you see. Dating from about 1950, it is in remarkably good condition with solid gores over glass, only the most minor dings to the surface, and just a few bits where the interior light comes through a seam. The dating is confirmed by the presence of Israel, West and East Pakistan, Indochina, Korea as a single country, and all of the colonial names of the African states. The globe features a complete heavy brass meridian, a time dial at the north pole, and the oceans shown in pea green. The walnut stand is also excellent. Very solid with four turned legs and stretchers. It measures about 13" in diameter, while with the globe in place, measures about 14" H. The globe weighs about 7 lbs. unpacked. Replogle 12 Inch Diameter Lighted Globe on 4 Poster Stand Retro
This is the fabu Replogle lighted 12 inch diameter globe with 4 poster stand. The globe turns and spins as it should. The light works and it is very pretty to behold when the lights are off. All in all, it's pretty neat. The stand is in terrific shape, is solid and well crafted. The globe itself has some stains, but I don't know if it is the outside or the inside. I did not want to attempt to clean it, less I rub some of the writing off. I took a pic of a stain to give you a better idea of what it looks like. You can take a shot at cleaning it once you get it home. 15 bucks gets it shipped to your door with free insurance. As long as you live in the lower 48. It really is cool to look at, and it looks doubly cool sitting on its stand.

A time dial at the North Pole and a brass hanger that measures degrees from 0-90 from the equator to both poles. This incredible 1949-1953 mid-century post-modern light-up GLASS Replogle 12" world globe is in great condition. Globe is made of thick glass. With paper overlaid graphics. There are some small missing spots to the paper, which don't really effect the overall beauty of this globe. See photos. NO chips or cracks to the glass itself. It dates between 1949(Newfoundland is there) and 1953(Korea is still unified) Globe itself measures 12" diameter, metal base measures 8.5" across and is in great condition(no paint chipping) and the overall height is 16" including base. It lights up just great and puts off a nice vintage glow. Original wiring is in great condition. It operates with a rotary switch located on the globe's South Pole. Globe spins well on its axis. This is a wonderful old Replogle globe from the 1920's; Peiping(on globe) became Peking in 1928; The base is metal in art deco style and the Library globe is 10" It has shipping routes and miles. This rare globe is a fantastic representation of the Art Deco/Machine Age movement with its clean. stream lined” mounting. Electric illuminated glass globes were produced for only a short period, from the late 1920’s to the late 1950’s, when economically more affordable and less labor intensive plastic replaced the glass globes with hand mounted paper gores. However, within that short period some of the most spectacular globe models had been produced, including this one. Hand mounted paper gores over glass sphere. The lighting is located inside the globe, attached to the base. A light switch is located on the base. The map offers fine details with black oceans and attractive bold colored political border outline. The unique ... morebase is made of cast iron with a very aerodynamic look and has a silver gold finish. The entire globe is 13" tall, 11" wide. The orb is near fine condition with only a few tiny nicks. Power cord needs replacement. Lower felt cover on base which would normally conceal the inner wiring is missing- only visible from below. A few light indentions to the cast base. with International Date Line, Ecliptic and large analemma with note of explanation. Globe spins and the only defect is approximately 8 PINHOLES(and I said pinholes) only seen upon very close inspection when lit. Stand is 23" tall and entire globe is 33" tall. This vintage globe is the Replogle World Horizon Series lighted globe. It has a 12" diameter and is on a wooden base. This globe dates from before 1991 because it has the USSR on it. This globe is in fairly good condition. There are a couple of small rubbed white areas on the globe that I have tried to show in my photos. One area is at the Tropic of Capricorn and the other area is off of the African coast. Otherwise it is in nice shape. This globe has the raised elevations for the mountains. Marvelous Replogle 10" Library World Globe - Lighted glass in a wooden stand
Here is the very fine glass Replogle 10" Library world globe. Lighted and in the wooden stand that you see. Dating from about 1950. It is in remarkably good condition with solid gores over glass, with only the most minor dings to the surface, and just a few bits where the interior light comes through a seam. The dating is confirmed by the presence of Israel, Pakistan and East Pakistan, Indochina, Korea as a single country, and all of the colonial names of the African states. The globe features a complete, heavy brass meridian, a time dial at the north pole, and the oceans shown in pea green. These smaller desk globes appear only rarely on eBay, and when they do, they are rarely of this quality. The walnut stand is also excellent. Very solid with four turned legs and stretchers. The stand measures about 13" in diameter and. With ... morethe globe seated, about 14" H. It weighs about 7 lbs. unpacked. Impressive in any room with the lamp turned off. It is so much more when the lamp is switched on. It would be the perfect gift for the history buff on your holiday list. Don't let it slip away to that other guy.
