You are viewing a vintage. I'm guessing 1970's) Cram's Imperial world Globe. It stands about 34" tall and is mounted on a wood pole that stands about 17.5" tall. The pole is connected to a 10" diameter metal base. The pole and base show vintage ware. Look at photos to see. The globe measures 12" in diameter and is mounted on it's axis by a rotating plastic gold colored support beams. They too show vintage ware. You can see paint missing on the top, near the axis on the support beam.The globe shows ware as well. The line around the equator is missing. It weighs about four pounds and is easy to move. I have found very little information on this great Deco era clock. The advertisement I have shown is from a National Geographic magazine dated 1930. Original price was $265.00 back then. These were offered in a floor or desk model and this is the floor standing model. Measures 51" tall with a 12" globe. All original paint& cord. When plugged in the globe is illuminated however the clock does not work. The biggest condition problem would be the lifted and missing paper around the equator. Some confusion as to if the globe rotates when operating for a 24 hour period. The compass decorated base is solid cast iron making the clock weigh 30 pounds. This auction is for a very nice floor model globe. It is made by Replogle. It has a 12 inches globe sitting on top of the stand. It looks like it just came out of the packaging. I can find any flaws. It sat in a house where it was just a display piece that was never used. It stands approx. 33 to 34 inches tall and the it approx. 19 by 19 inches. Standing about 34” tall. This 12” world globe is made by Weber Costello. Labeled as a Polygraphic Hy-Press Bilt globe. It is 12” in diameter. As world globes go, it is not particularly old, showing Morocco as one of the countries. Overall the condition is nice. But one issue is the circle someone has drawn near Washington State and another at the top. There are remnants of what used to be plastic film that likely covered the entire globe, but now is only near the top. You can see the seams where it is put together, perhaps more visible due to age. Vintage Replogle 12" Globe World Ocean Series Tall Wooden Stand Floor Standing
Replogle 12" Diameter Globe ~ World Ocean Series This is an older. Used globe on a wooden stand, with a metal base. The metal base has a faux wood print. The ring around the globe is brass. The other metal is not. It measures a total of about 33" tall. It is in vintage. Obviously used and well loved condition. The outer surface of the globe has some stains from finger prints and smears. The outer surface also has some scuff type damage where the outer layer has worn through(pictured) The metal support bar directly under the globe has small rust spots. It looks like the base was repaired with glue, and the wood has a small crack, and a long drip of glue. See picture. The wood stand and metal base each have scratches. It is very sturdy, and does not affect the performance. It isn't noticeable unless you look for it. It sounds ... morelike there is a pebble rattling around inside the globe when you turn it.
