This is a 1909 Rand McNALLY Six inch Terrestrial Globe. It has a wire base and stands about 9" tall. It is in great shape to be 104 years old. It does have a couple small spots where the paper is a little damaged but the only one really noticable is at the top in the artic circle in the ocean so no writing is affected( See last pic) Sold"AS IS" HAPPY BIDDING!

Here's an antique 12" terrestrial globe made by W. A.K. Johnston. It stands about 22" tall and has a bronze claw foot stand. It's had a hard life. There are a bunch of areas where the paper has flaked off and someone has colored the areas green. The green filled in areas look to be a very old repair. Also the bronze ring around the globe has a crack. It still displays nice and is readable in most places. I place the production early 1920 because of Petrograd presence. Marker: 1922- Russia changes to Soviet Union( Still Russia)1924- Christiana, Norway renamed Oslo( Still Christiana) While the condition is not pristine it has been restored to top condition with this grade: fair condition with some touch up the the Atlantic. A small crack in France,all of the country are easy to read. The globe turn freely. The overall colors are fading in some part with oxidation.The old yellow varnish has been removed to restore most of the original color. Up for auction is a wonderful big 16" Rand McNally Terrestrial Art Globe. I've dated to some where around the early 1940s I found this wonderful globe without a stand so needs to find a home were someone could provide it with a nice stand. It's in pretty nice overall condition. I took pics of most of all the flaws. One small dent toward the bottom of South America. There is also a spot toward the bottom of Alaska were there are some very small holes punched in to the globe. Someone covered this with a piece of tape. There is also some darkening in areas of the globe. See pics for overall condition. Please ask me any questions before bidding.

Please take a look at the beautifully cast base and patina. Just gorgeous and all original. This may have been in a school and has some pencil marks that are barely noticeable. VTG Antique RAND McNALLY 9" TERRESTRIAL GLOBE with METAL STAND Very Nice!!
You are bidding on a vintage Rand McNally 9 inch Terrestrial globe on a metal stand. Both the globe and its stand are in great condition for their age. With some light blemishes in spots from use. Additionally, a bit of the equator sticker is gone, I located a puncture south of the Hawaiian Islands, and there is an area of rust along the edge of the stand. The globe is colored an antiqued off-white/beige and is made to look like ancient parchment. Located around the globe are sketches of famous explorers' ships. I've spent some time looking up various geographic points on the globe, trying to determine its age. As near as I can tell, it dates to the late 1930's. It does not have Israel defined as a state, so pre-1948; it does not have Germany divided between East and West, so pre-1945; it has Istanbul instead of Constantinople, ... moreso post-1930; Persia had been renamed Iran, so post-1935; I cannot locate Austria, which was annexed in 1938; and, finally, Poland looks whole, and it was siezed and split up by Germany and Russia in 1939. Antique 1920's- 30s 12" Phillips World Terrestrial Globe
This is an old Phillips globe that I think is from the late 1920s or 30s. Measures 12" Has some condition issues as can be seen in the pics. Well.actually the pics make it look worse than it is; there seems to have been some sort of dark finish that has come off the top portion(mostly still intact in the Southern hemisphere) the glare from the flash makes it look like large areas of the surface are missing. But actually the graphics are only lost in a few patchy areas(mostly central Europe, the North Pole and a spot in the Mid East)

Up for auction is this wonderful estate find 12" Hammond Terrestrial world globe with wood months ring and cast iron stand and features. This piece dates from the early 1900's most likey used in a school or college. This globe is in nice condition for surviving over a hundred years. All original parts including hardware. Wood months ring and cast metal parts. Wood ring very nice with all 12 months showing only age wear, globe has yellowing age wear and I'm not sure how to clean so I will leave this up to the buyer, also as seen in pictures there are some small area's of paper wear to globe but does not take away from the beauty and purpose of this globe. Antique Philips 19 inch Terrestrial Globe 1962
PHILIPS 19 inch terrestrial globe. 1962. This is a large and impressive table globe from the British company Philips. Dated 1962. The globe is constructed from two hemispherical aluminium shells, joined at the equator, with 12 hand-applied paper gores. It is reinforced internally by a hardboard disc with steel rim at the equator and a wooden cylinder along the axis. The globe is mounted on a turned mahogany base with a heavy cantilevered aluminium bracket supporting the axis. I have up for sale a nice vintage original circa 1930- 1935 GEORGE F CRAM CO Indianapolis. Indiana 12" Terrestrial World Globe. It has an attractive heavy cast iron base. It would date from circa 1931 to 1935 indicated by the use of a PERSIA which changed to Iran in 1935 and the use of ISTANBUL which prior to 1930 was called CONSTANTINOPLE. Manchuria is called both MANCHURIA OR MANCHOUKUO and Saudi Arabia is the KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA. The globe is in good but used condition. There are indications of use and of age as noted in the above description. The globe very possibly was used in a school. It has some light discoloration in spots. I am offering this Antique Globe produced by Weber Costello Company. I believe this is from 1920-30's. The globe has a dent that measures 1-3/4" by 1" near the north pole and another smaller dent near the south pole, some flecks of print missing in a few places. It measures on the stand 20 inches tall and is a 12 inch globe. The clawfoot base that it rotates on is a cast copper finish. This can be restored and would make a nice display in an office or den. Here's a great old paper covered terrestrial globe. Made by W& AK Johnston and distributed by A J Nystrom. Probably dates from the 1910s through 1920's. Measures 12" wide(globe only without ring) and has a cast iron ring. The globe is paper over tin. The condition is good for the age with one 2" dent on South America(will add photo) and some paper finish wear. No damage to cast iron. This was probably a table or floor model globe but is missing its cast iron base. A great opportunity to bring 2 lost pieces together and create a very valuable globe. A fellow Ebayer questioned whether this was actually a"suspension globe" that was designed to be suspended by a pulley and rope- another rare piece. No international shipping.

Antique globe terrestrial by J Forest Paris late 1800's on brass & wooden stand
I have for sale an original terrestrial globe by makers J Forest of 17 Rue de Buci Paris dating from the latter part of the 19th Century. It is in pretty good condition a couple of flaws as detailed above but this is a item which was meant to be used. So therefore some sign of use is to be expected. In the Bay of Bengal, in the North Atlantic, on the Equator Line beside Papua(or New Guinea) a ring of wear on the Arctic Circle, South Pole. Dark spot by the Martial Islands. A rare antique Andrews terrestrial globe c1876 A stunning post Civil War era 8 inch table globe by Andrews. A highly detailed globe with ocean currents and isothermal lines depicted. The gores of this globe were produced the old fashion way using labor intensive steel plate engraving. A good representation of the gore styles of the era. Concentric gradient lines surround every landmass giving the illusion of depth. The United States still displays a single Dakota prior to separation into North and South. The Austro-Hungarian empire is present, while the Turkish Empire extends into the Arabian Peninsula. India has yet to gain independence. The globe consists of Steel Engraved paper gores coated in it's original Shellac. The spheres were hand applied to a plaster sphere mounted on an incremented brass ring atop a turned wood base. Several scuffs to the paper are visible in the photos. Though only in ocean areas, leaving underlying plaster visible. This antique globe has age appropriate wear having suffered no serious accidents or abuse that most globes succumb to over 135 years of existence. The age of the globes can be determined from the geography present. The globe displays a single Dakota. Suez Canal, Austria. The Congo Free State is not yet established and India is not yet an Empire. Bounded by these political indicators, the globes approximate year of production is 1876.
