Model IL3205. Replogle's flagship floor/library globe, produced from 1958 onward, this globe dates to 1965 according to the serial number(6554) and the status of the countries inscribed. Quintessentially a"snapshot" of the Cold War status of our ever-changing world. A similar example has enjoyed a permanent home in the White House for many years. The cradle/base is"hand-carved mahogany" approximately 30" wide x 41" wide with a full-ring thick brass engraved meridian. The meridian receivers are also solid, inlaid brass. Very nice 12 inch globe on wooden floor stand with three feet. I base the date of 1979 on information I found about the model of globe but mainly the names of countries from the time. It is a World Classic Series. Raised relief which adds texture to an already beautiful old globe. It also denotes LeRoy M. Tolman as the chief cartographer. Handsome highly detailed surface with oceans finished in blue green with International Date Line, ecliptic and large analemma with note of explanation. Nautical distances shown with small ships, transatlantic routes shown with ocean liners, also Indian Ocean coastal routes. Shows Great Chinese Wall with some topography. Germany and Japan both have prewar borders, no Pakistan. The globe is in good condition except for tear on the Belgian Congo in Africa(see Picture) This would be an easy repair to complete, but I didn't want to take away the original condition. Vintage Replogle 12" Globe World Ocean Series Tall Wooden Stand Floor Standing
Replogle 12" Diameter Globe ~ World Ocean Series This is an older. Used globe on a wooden stand, with a metal base. The metal base has a faux wood print. The ring around the globe is brass. The other metal is not. It measures a total of about 33" tall. It is in vintage. Obviously used and well loved condition. The outer surface of the globe has some stains from finger prints and smears. The outer surface also has some scuff type damage where the outer layer has worn through(pictured) The metal support bar directly under the globe has small rust spots. It looks like the base was repaired with glue, and the wood has a small crack, and a long drip of glue. See picture. The wood stand and metal base each have scratches. It is very sturdy, and does not affect the performance. It isn't noticeable unless you look for it. It sounds ... morelike there is a pebble rattling around inside the globe when you turn it.

I have a 16" world globe it is a floor model and has a solid wood base which is round and has 3 legs on a round wood base. It stands about 33" tall and is about 24" from side to side. This is a Heirloom globe. There are a couple of holes real small ones. 1 is in Turkey and the other is on the eagle on the logo. There are 3 small holes in the Antarctic circle but you can't really see this part of the globe anyway. This is in great shape even with the boo boos. This is a brown globe with colored states. antique 12 Replogle world globe floor stand Library 3 leg wood claw foot metal
This is before 1945 nice wood legs with Metal claw foot Replogle Library floor stand Globe.Dark brown metal around globe wide is 13 1/2 It stands 35 inches tall and has carved wood around base and legs and legs measure about 17 inches wide at base. It is in great condition for age and only has a few spots of white almost like a bleach hit it in a couple spots and that could have been if it were in a school Science lab. It has only one other spot that was actually a small piece of tar. I picked it off and it left a dark spot. This could sell at a Antique World globe dealer I contacted but would rather sell on ebay. They told me my answer to price below. It weighs right at about 6 lbs and will ship it very good with lots of room so it will cost a bit for shipping to keep it safe.
