No bends or dents. The legs do show signs of aging or small black marks if you look close. The globe is able to be detached from the stand. The pole is connected to a 10" diameter metal base. The pole and base show vintage ware. Look at photos to see. The globe measures 12" in diameter and is mounted on it's axis by a rotating plastic gold colored support beams. They too show vintage ware. You can see paint missing on the top, near the axis on the support beam.The globe shows ware as well. The line around the equator is missing. It weighs about four pounds and is easy to move. It sets in a handsome wood stand that is a medium toned wood(not sure of type of wood) The base is in very nice condition. There is a switch on the cord to turn the globe light on. The total cord measures 70" conveniently long. It measures 31"H x 22"W. As you see in the photos. There are small rips in the bottom of the globe and one small one a bit higherunder the word"ocean" All the rips are below the wood base when the globe is in normal position. I raised them higher for the pictures sake. I believe they are not unusual for the age of a lighted globe. Otherwise, it is stunning. The globe overall stands 32" high. The metal base is 10" the wood pedestal is 15 1/2" There is no wear on the world globe, nice bright colors, the wood pedastal is in great condition and the metal base paint is excellent. In order to keep shipping cost lower I will ship the globe and stand unassembled. Offered for sale is one of the finest globes available at the turn of the 20 th Century. An 18 inch Jonhston Terrestrial globe. The sphere is constructed, Old World style, of wood, paper mache’ and plaster turned to an 18 inch diameter, and covered with 12 chromo-lithographically printed paper sections(gores) The equatorial, equinoctial and Zodiac are fully graduated in degrees, hours and minutes respectively. The horizon paper shows the houses of the Zodiac, and includes their symbols. This globe also shows the Mean Isothermal Lines for January and July, and was amongst the first to add this refinement. Ocean currents and the addition of the locations of the submarine telegraph cables are indicated as well. ... moreThe age of Arctic exploration is also represented on this globe. Johnston’s cartography is highly detailed, showing place names and geographic locations lost or ignored on lesser globes of the period, and certainly on modern globes. Standing about 34” tall. This 12” world globe is made by Weber Costello. Labeled as a Polygraphic Hy-Press Bilt globe. It is 12” in diameter. As world globes go, it is not particularly old, showing Morocco as one of the countries. Overall the condition is nice. But one issue is the circle someone has drawn near Washington State and another at the top. There are remnants of what used to be plastic film that likely covered the entire globe, but now is only near the top. You can see the seams where it is put together, perhaps more visible due to age. Vintage Replogle 12" Globe World Ocean Series Tall Wooden Stand Floor Standing
Replogle 12" Diameter Globe ~ World Ocean Series This is an older. Used globe on a wooden stand, with a metal base. The metal base has a faux wood print. The ring around the globe is brass. The other metal is not. It measures a total of about 33" tall. It is in vintage. Obviously used and well loved condition. The outer surface of the globe has some stains from finger prints and smears. The outer surface also has some scuff type damage where the outer layer has worn through(pictured) The metal support bar directly under the globe has small rust spots. It looks like the base was repaired with glue, and the wood has a small crack, and a long drip of glue. See picture. The wood stand and metal base each have scratches. It is very sturdy, and does not affect the performance. It isn't noticeable unless you look for it. It sounds ... morelike there is a pebble rattling around inside the globe when you turn it.

It is in great condition for age and only has a few spots of white almost like a bleach hit it in a couple spots and that could have been if it were in a school Science lab. It has only one other spot that was actually a small piece of tar. I picked it off and it left a dark spot. This could sell at a Antique World globe dealer I contacted but would rather sell on ebay. THE STAND IS 16.5" DIAMETER AND THE GLOBE FROM TIP TO TIP IS 13.5" DIAMETER. THERE IS A BIT OF CORROSION ON ONE OF THE FEET AND THERE IS A PIECE OF WOOD MISSING FROM THE STAND ON THE UNDER SIDE. IT LOOKS LIKE THE LEGS HAVE BEEN REGLUED ON BEFORE AND THERE IS A SLIGHT BIT OF IT RESIDUE IN THE CORNERS WHERE THE LEGS MEET THE BASE. YOU HAVE TO LOOK CLOSELY TO SEE IT BUT IT IS THERE. Cram's Imperial World Globe vintage floor model wood table stand 36" tall
Found at an estate sale. Overall it is in very good condition, it does have a couple minor dings please see photos. It measures 36" tall, 12" diameter globe. It comes apart just by lifting it apart. Will be shipped taken apart. Thank you for looking
