I have a world globe this could have been made around 1975 to 1984. Because of the countries on the globe and because of the USSR. This has a wwod base and a metal pice that holds it. All the mountain ranges are raised and it even has where YOU live on it. How about that? It is tan in color which I think is cooler for your eyes. The green ones are so bright it throws your sight off. As it says it is a 12" diameter globe and would complement any room in your house.

Vintage 1940s 10-inch Standard Replogle Terrestrial Globe-Before Isreal
This is a little beauty for a Machine Age Replogle terrestrial globe from the late 1940s! Nations which gained independence whose political names were still official on this globe are Palestine before the State of Israel was declared in 1948. French Indo-China(1954) Anglo-Egyptian Sudan(1956) and Rio de Oro(1956) among others. This machine pressed cardboard globe has a nice, deep ocean colored background, gores that fit nicely together and much of its paper equatorial band is still in place. It has a stamped tin time dial at the top and a stamped metal base that supports a Machine Age stamped and painted metal half meridian. There are some light stains along some of the margins of the gores, but they do not detract from its readability but seem to add to its vintage appearance. It stands 13 1/2 inches tall overall.

Vintage 1960's Modern teak wood Replogle world globe USA rotates on teak stand
A vintage Replogle world globe most likely from the 1960's or so. 12" World Nation Series. It still has Yugoslavia. Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. But best of all it has a great Modern tea k wood stand from that era. It is very stylish.it has a large 8 1/2" wide gold metal ring as the bottom stand. It is connected to a teak wood sphere shape about 7" high. Which is on a slant. That is attached to the gold metal holder that has the lines of latitude. There is a black knob that moves and rotates the globe. It' s in wonderful condition. Clean. With no bad spots on the surface. The top and bottom of the globe, where the metal holder is attached. May have had washers at the point where the rods are inserted. But I a m not sure. See photos 6 and 8. I only say this because the hole is slightly rough and may be it's ... moresuppose to be hidden. As I said. This is just a guess and want to menti on but not a big deal in my opinion. The only tiny flaw is the bottom of the teak stand has a few tiny blue paint spots. It may come off w ith some effor t but I will leave that up to the buyer.see last photo. The Post Office charges an additional'balloon rate' because the box is large and it puts it into a balloon rate. This is on top of the regular shipping price. The globe shows Siam in lieu of Thailand, a name change that was made in 1939 and shows European political borders in their pre-1939 configuration. However, it does show Burma separated from India which transpired in 1937 so it seems able to date it with confidence as from 1938. Very few of these finely crafted glass globes from this period survive, and this handsome example is quite well preserved.
