IL. It is approximately 20” in diameter and it is a hollow metal orb with only the land masses in dark blue and outlined in yellow. The base is cast metal and very heavy. As can be seen in the photos there is a considerable amount of surface rust freckling and some staining which I am unsure of how, or if, it can be removed. Globe also has one dent on lower section about 4" x 3"these globes appear to unscrew down the middle, so you could probably take it apart and tap the dent out if so desired.I didnt try it, or attemp to clean it in any way-It appears to work properly but since it was purchased at an estate sale it is being sold ... moreas is. Vintage Antique Table Floor Lamp Metal Base Includes Globe 28" High
Up for bids is an antique table lamp measuring between 28 and 29 inches tall. The glass globe is 8 inches across, it has an 8 inch base that is very nicely detailed. Includes bulb. Lamp has been rewired and works great. The pictures of the base(5th and 6th pictures) are the actual color. It was taken when I had it apart and was cleaning it before dark, the other pictures are taken with flash and do not show the true color, will take more tomorrow in daylight. I don't know the age of it or any more information other than it appears to be very old. Going by the condition of the original cord and the plug that was on it. I would think its from the 1920s to 1940s but really have no way of knowing. I did some searching on ebay archives and did not find one like it that had been sold in the last 2 years. T here are some numbers stamped on the ... morebottom of the base but the switch is in the way and all I can make out is S11 with 2 more numbers under the switch. And I would rather not remo ve the s wit ch as I'm afraid I would have to replace i t if I did. It screws into the base and it doesn't want to come loose. But if it would help someone by knowing what the n umbers are under it I will remo ve it and if it gets damaged will replace it with a new switch. Antique Butler floor model globe
Butler Floor Model World Globe Made by the George F Cram Co. Indianapolis Indiana. It is in very good shape for its age as pictured. It was taken from an old office building that was to be torn down several years ago. I have enjoyed it very much but sorry I don't know the exact age. The globe its self is 16 in across and held by an solid wood stand that is about 22 in across. It is on casters and stands about 33 in tall and can be moved easily. This one does not light and never has. This would make a nice retirement gift or just a nice conversation piece to add to your vintage collection. 1940's Antique Life Size Biba Girl Art Deco Floor Lamp - Vaseline Glass Globe!
An amazing piece that we truly regret listing for sale. This is a truly unique antique art deco floor lamp which will make a fantastic cornerstone centerpiece for any highly styled room decor! It is a HUGE Biba Girl floor lamp! This piece is almost 80" tall(from the bottom of the floor base to the top of the vaseline glass globe) The Biba girl herself stands about 74" to the top of her nose/chin from the floor. The depth of the piece is about 45" from the front of the globe to the back of her head. She stands on a double tier hexagonal base- the bottom tier of the base is a 24" wide hexagon and the tier she stands on is a 16" hexagon. She is molded of early poly carbonate and is finished in black paint. The hexagon base is wooden. The lamp is a 10" diameter swirled vaseline glass globe. We have owned this piece ... morefor several years. We purchased it from an antique dealer who indicated it originally served as a 1940's lobby decor piece in a San Francisco Hotel. He did not know the name of the hotel. Condition is very good- lamp operates perfectly. Only some age-related cracking in the black finish paint on Biba. This does not detract from the amazing look of the piece. We are located in the San Francisco Bay Area and are only listing this for local pick-up as it would be too cumbersome to pack. The globe is constructed of 12 hand applied coated paper gores over pasteboard. Time dial at North Pole and is mounted in a die cast full meridian which rotates 360 degrees in cradle. Handsome highly detailed surface with oceans finished in blue green with International Date Line, ecliptic and large analemma with note of explanation. Nautical distances shown with small ships, transatlantic routes shown with ocean liners, also Indian Ocean coastal routes. Shows Great Chinese Wall with some topography. It can be dated to circa 1936 as Persia has become Iran(1935) but Italian Somaliland is not yet part of Italian East Africa(1936) and Burma is still shown ... moreas part of India(until 1937) Shows the Saar region in Europe. Which voted in 1935 to return to Germany, an independent Austria and intact Czechoslovakia. In Asia. M anchukuo is shown with its earliest spelling"Manchutikuo" Chosen is Japanese and French Indo-China in Asia. In good condition and nicely toned. There are some losses and rubbing at the South Pole pivot. Time dial is warped. Surface is faded and worn in a section of the mid Atlantic. In the same area the seem has slightly opened and a section of the gore has lifted and crinkled but is intact. A small sliver of the seem is missing off the coast of Liberia. This is before 1945 nice wood legs with Metal claw foot Replogle Library floor stand Globe.Dark brown metal around globe wide is 13 1/2 It stands 35 inches tall and has carved wood around base and legs and legs measure about 17 inches wide at base. It is in great condition for age and only has a few spots of white almost like a bleach hit it in a couple spots and that could have been if it were in a school Science lab. Antique marble and alabaster floor lamp. An amazing piece and rare to find. This is not a reproduction. Originally purchased in Florence. Italy in the 1940's and shipped to a wealthy socialite in New York. From the Art Nouveau era circa 1918. The 6' 2" floor lamp was puported to have been owned by a fashion industry baroness. The entire piece is hand carved and polished by artisans no longer trained in this craft. Great attention to the baby pink folds in the alabaster dress with etching to the hem. Fine detail to the marble strands of hair in the goddess. The gray and white mottled marble globe measures 16" in diameter and splits into 2 halves. Electrifies with a regular 40 or 75 watt bulb. This is an unusual frosted or opaque shade or globe. It has light blue on the top and bottom and flowers painted pink. It has a nice raised design with a fluted or lined design and a decorative raised border around the bottom. It is 5 1/4 inches tall. The top opening is 2 1/4 outside and 1 7/8 inches inside diameter. The bottom opening is 4 1/8 inches outside and 3 3/4 inside diameter. The bottom edge has 2 chips on the inside of the ridge. The outside of the glass is still there the chip is inside. It has chipping in the bottom rim and the top rim. Very unique.

The base has 4 ornate feet and is topped off with marble. It holds 4 bulbs- 3 arms and 1 center light. The center light operates on a separate pull chain and the others operate from a turn switch. The white center globe is threaded and screws on to the socket. The globe is in very good condition with only slight roughness along the rim, but no chips or cracks. This auction is for a Old Antique Vintage Lamp Globe Shade Floor Table Gone With The Wind. This is a beautiful old lamp shade. It is rough cut at the top& bottom openings. There are some chips at the bottom but the chips don't go through to the other side. Please see photo's. There are metal flowers& leaves attached to this shade. The metal is a yellow color. It might be brass but I do not know for sure. The smaller opening is 4 inches. T larger opening is 3 3/4 inches. It is about 6 1/2 inches tall& 7 3/4 inches at the widest point in the center. This is an unusual lamp shade. I do not know the time frame it is from.
