This is an early bisque figure of what appears to be a frontiersman aor early American pioneer. I do not know anything about it except it is very rare.I could not find anything to compare it to. The nearest I could find were Boer war soldier figures by Grafenthal which were similar in style.Material and colour and dated to 1900. He is well made and hand painted with excellent detail like the powder horn and pouch.Water canteen and frightened face. KPM porcelain has always been reguarded for it's fine quality as well as it's collectability. This great example has the classic"Victorian-esque" lobed form with very fancy"foilete type" handles. Outstanding Robertson Hollywood Rose Box. These pictures do not do it justice. It is beautiful and I am told it is from the late 40's or early 50's. The colors are vivid and it has the number 3 on the bottom. There is less than a pinhead size mark on the top which may or may not have started life. There is also a small pinhead size chip on the inner-lid that is not visible when closed I have attempted to make it visible on the bottom lid picture. Absent these two Very minor items, it is just great and there are no chips at all in the colorful rose. It will be very carefully packed.

There is a relief pattern in the porcelain on the lid. The bowl is decorated with hand painted yellow flowers on a green ban d and finished off with gilding. Backstamp: Green Crown Staffordshire mark. Doesn’t have“made in England” or any other writing, see images Height: 3cm(1.25” Diameter: 3cm(1.25”approx Condition: There is a small slither off the gilding on the rim. Not a chip. I have magnified the images so it looks like a chip but it is really small.
