MID 19TH CENTURY STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFERWARE PRINTED CHILD'S ABC PLATE HORSE RACE
This is a wonderful Mid 19th Century Staffordshire Transfer Printed and Molded Child's ABC Plate showing a Horse Race. It measures approximately 6-3/4" in diameter. The rim is molded with the full alphabet. The well area of the plate is a brown transfer printed'horse race' seen showing the jockeys accented in red and blue during a face. The grandstands are in the background with people cheering. The ground is accented in green. It is in excellent condition with only minor age appropriate discoloration seen mostly on the backside. There are NO chips. NO cracks, NO repairs and NO re-glazing. The plate shows subtle production period mold lines which should NOT be confused as neither cracks nor repairs. For your consideration is a lovely Copeland hand-painted footed compote. Manufactured in 1879. It is a TRUE ANTIQUE(see photo of mark) This classic compote features colorful hand painted pictures of butterflies and flowers scattered amongst asian inspired branches with incredible raised flowers. The compote stands 4 1/4" tall and measures 8 1/2" in diameter. These beautiful patterns are also displayed on the underside of the bowl and base of the pedestal. The rounded edge of the bowl is trimmed in an ocher color(brownish/yellow) with the same trim around the edge of the base. In amazing condition considering it is 134 years old. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. If you run your finger around the edge of the bowl, there are two very minor"flea bites"not chips just roughness. And top of heads. There are gold trims- around the base. And around the vase's rim. In very good condition- could not find any chips. Cracks, or repairs. They measure 4-1/2" underplate, 3-1/2" wide ramekin top, 2-1/4" ramekin bottom, 1-1/2" high. One of the underplates has a tiny surface fleabite on the rim(see last picture) and the other underplate has a little bit of crazing just in the middle where the ramekin sits. The piece measures 38 inches or 96.5 high to the top of the finial. The largest platter is 16 by 20 inches or 40.5 by 50.5 cm. The base is 10 inches 25.5 cm square and the eagle is 4 inches or 10 cm high. The 3-tiered serving dish has an understated elegance which would enhance all that is diplayed on it without taking away from its beauty. The porcelain all has a fine scalloped edge which accents the pieces. The epergne has a footed base and three porcelain platters each in high white porcelain with a deep royal blue matte glaze border. Within the borders are elaborate hand painted floral bouquets with excellent attention to details. The ... moretop serving dish has an open work border. The piece is further enhanced with heavy applied gold. The top of the serving dish has a full figure of an eagle finial. The entire epergne is held together with a long rod and nut. There are a total of 8 separate pieces that make up the whole piece. It is signed on the bottom of the base with the under glaze blue KPM mark. The epergne is in very good condition. PAIR OF ANTIQUE PORCELAIN FIGURES OF A SHEPHERD AND SHEPHERDESS. The shepherd is holding the horns of a goat. The shepherdess is with a sheep/lamb. They measure 21cms high and are standing on gold gilded rococo bases. I've had a good search around them and they do not have a maker's mark. Unfortunately, but come from a collection including Chelsea and Sitzendorf and are of that style and age. The shepherd has some wear patches in the paint of his jacket and the gold gilding on his base is worn. Also a petal on a flower on his base is broken, otherwise they look to be in very good condition. Can't see any evident damage on the shepherdess.

800x600 Rare Child's Miniature Dinner Platter MONASTERY ON THE HILL Hackwood ~ Staffordshire England c.1830 This is stunning and scarce historical Staffordshire toy meat plate or platter. C. 1830. Made as part of a complete children's toy transferware dinner service, the oval little dish measures 3-3/8” long, 2 5/8” across, with flared rim. The piece is transfer printed in black with a pearlware glaze. It is impeccably potted and finely detailed. Depicting a farmer and his cow walking at the foot of a hill, with a humble cottage in the foreground and a church monastery at the top of the hill. Morning glories and lilies on a vine wind around the border. The pattern name is most commonly known as Monastery Hill. Also referred to as Monastery on the Hill and/or Institution. This diminutive dish is marked with an impressed mark that reads"Hackwood" ... morethe backstamp of the maker William Hackwood. An esteemed pottery in the Staffordshire district of England in the 1830s. The quality of the form and detailing of the image is far superior to what would be expected on this diminutive sized piece. A pocket size work of art. The tiny platter is in great condition. With no chips, cracks or repairs. Stilt marks front and back, and minor imperfections original to the making and typical of these early wares, but outstanding overall considering age and scarcity of the form and pattern. Marked examples are hard to come by. The plate will make a fine addition to any collection of childrens wares or miniature doll house transferware. Antique English lavender transferware toothbrush/razor dish box aesthetic 19th
This antique toothbrush or razor dish is lavender in color and has floral decoration in an aesthetic style. The dish is 8 ½ inches long. 3 ½ inches wide and 3 inches high including the handle. It does not have a makers mark but does have a Z marked on both pieces. The bottom piece has a dot inside a circle which likely dates it. We believe it dates circa 1880. It has a slight hairline through part of the handle. There is light crazing. There are no other issues.

ANTIQUE c1800s CHRISTIAN NONNE & ROESCH ILMENAU PORCELAIN DISH FLOWERS & INSECTS
Description This antique circa early 1800's period Ilmenau German Porcelain attributed to Christian Nonne& Roesch factory. Is of small shallow rounded form with tiny flower heads applied to the back of the rim in Gothic Revival flower head pattern. It is finely hand painted to the front with flowers& insects in the Meissen style and the applied flowers to the back are also individually picked out in colour. This lovely porcelain dish is marked to the base with a hand painted cobalt blue mark of a line intersecting an oval. The closest marks we could find were those of Christain Nonne& Roesch of Ilmenau. It is in good condition apart from a small blown bubble in the edge of the rim, which also has a couple of tiny firing flaws. This auction is for a wonderful set of six early 19th century English Rococo hand painted and gilded cups and saucers. This is part of a partial 25 piece dessert set that I purchased from a very prominent Washington D.C. estate. I will be listing more pieces from this fantastic set.So if my descriptions seem redundant please forgive me. This is a very fine quality set of English hand painted porcelain cups and saucers. They have been hand decorated in a lovely salmon ground,bordered with lovely floral,vine and leaf depictions,see pictures) The center marquis of these cups and saucers have a simple stencil gilded branch,bud and leaf portrait. The cups measure 1 7/8" from base to rim height,and 2 1/2" from base to handle tip,with a rim diameter of 3 3/4" and a base diameter of 1 7/8" The saucers measure approx. 6" in ... morediameter. This pretty old Jasperware/Wedgwood piece needs TLC! It has 1 cherub. 1 hand, and 2 wings that need to be glued or cemented into place. The pieces are there, but I'm not able to do a good job mending it. It is a quite heavy piece, weighs one pound. The broken off cherub is missing finger tips on its left hand. There are no other chips or cracks on this piece. It has been in my family for a long time, but I have no idea how old it is. There are no names or numbers on it. It measures about 8 1/4 inches long and 6 1/4 inches across. The edges are about 1 inch deep. Please email any questions or for additional photos.

One is painted to look like a Chinese man and the other is a Chinese woman and they are very realistic and almost creepy. They both have the original tassel hanging from the bottom and they have Chinese coin accents. Measure about 5" tall without the tassels and they are both in great condition minus a few missing paint spots at the high points. The backs are marked Irene McHugh 1927-47 and I believe she made these one’s back in the late 1940s. Guaranteed old and original! GORGEOUS HAVILAND - LIMOGES PINK & YELLOW ROSES LOT OF 37 PIECES
Made in France circa: late 19th century. They are Theodore Haviland Limoges(marked on the bottom in red and some read"Patent applied for" as well) The china itself has a TH marked in the body on some of the pieces. I have 37 pieces: a coffee pot with lid(my absolute favorite) a creamer- a lidded sugar- six 9" luncheon plates- the gold around the edge is almost gone and they are a little faded- but GORGEOUS- three 6 1/4" bread and butter plates- ten bowls 4 7/8" fruit and dessert- eight saucers 5 5/8" seven tea cups There are a few chips and cracks- but very minor- I have attached a photo of the one on the coffee pot. Also- some of the pieces are a little more faded with use and some of the gold edging is gone or faded. Given the age of this china- it is in wonderful and usable condition. The estimated value in ... moreperfect condition for this set is approximately $1.500. Given the wear I am starting the bid at a much lower price.
