Lovely Antique Carl Thieme Potschappel Dresden Teapot - Hand Painted
You are bidding on a lovely antique teapot from Carl Thieme of Potschappel. Dresden. It has a wrythen bottom half of the body and wrythen lid. It features a'face mask' on the underside of the spout as shown. It is hand painted and has a footed base. It stands at 5 1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial on the lid and is 7 inches long from fancy handle to fancy spout. There is some wear to the finial and some paint loss on the rim as shown. Fully marked on the base and I would say it dates from the late 1800s so well over 100 years old. A lovely piece that will make a great addition to any collection. But this style is also associated with Meissen and Thieme's work was so detailed he is believed to have worked for both companies. Antique German Dresden Carl Thieme compote c1900 floral and cherubs design VGUC
This is a large two-part German Dresden compote created by the Carl Thieme firm. There are three cherubs surrounding a floral encrusted pedestal. The piece is embellished with fine porcelain hand painted flowers and leaves. The top of the reticulated bowl is scalloped and gilded. There is gilding throughout the piece highlighting the decoration. At one time. The bowl was bolted to the pedestal, however the bolt and screw are missing. This elaborate compote makes a stunning centerpiece from any angle. The pedestal is 13" tall and the combined height of the pedestal and bowl is 17" The bowl measures 11" X 11 5/8" This piece is from around the turn of the previous century. It is in very good condition for its vintage. There are some chips(minor) to some of the flowers petals and there is a chip on a cherub's foot. The ... morebolt and screw which held the two pieces together are missing. Colors remain vibrant and gilding is mostly intact. See photos for more) Still. Features different types of hand-painted flowers. Gilding, and delicate craftsmanship. The design in the center of the bowls is known as"Dresden Flowers" and can be seen on many other factories' items. The colorful hand painted flowers and leaves are individually made and permanently attached around the outer portion of the reticulated bowl and in between the four reticulated feet. Antique Carl Thieme Dresden Hand Painted Demi Cup & Saucer Green Flowers
Up for auction is an antique porcelain hand painted demitasse cup and saucer set from Dresden. Germany made by Carl Thieme. It is white with green flowers. The rims are scalloped and are outlined with gold, as is the handle. The cup is footed. There is a raised"woven" detail at the rim edges. The cup is 2 3/8" tall with a rim diameter of 2 1/2" The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/4" and the rim is raised to 1" There is no cup insert. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. Both of the pieces are marked with the blue logo for Carl Thieme along with"DRESDEN GERMANY" Insurance is included in the shipping fee. Good luck bidding and thanks for looking.

Antique Saxony 7 3/4" Dresden Carl Thieme Depose Decorative Plate This listing is for one plate. I have multiples of the same plate. Handpainted in pastels& gilding. This extremely rare plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The reticulation patterns are amazing! So detailed and beautifully cut. This plate was made by Carl Thieme who founded the Saxon Porcelain Manufactory in Potschappel in 1872. His death in 1888, dates the plate as made between 1872& 1888. It was made exclusively for The Bailey, Banks& Biddle Co. of Philadelphia, who's amazing history is summarized below. The Bailey. Banks& Biddle Co. Known specifically for their high-end goods, jewelry, as well as a successful insignia department which designed and manufactured medals. Ribbons and honor awards for the U.S. government ... moreand military and naval academies. For nearly a century, BB&B produced the Congressional Medal of Honor, the first 40,000 Purple Hearts awarded, and class rings for West Point and Annapolis. Among the medals designed or produced by the firm were the Distinguished Service Medal, Distinguished Service Cross and Distinguished Flying Cross. Charles Lindbergh and Admiral Richard E. Byrd received the first two Distinguished Flying Crosses in 1927. The current version of the Great Seal of the United States was designed by a BB&B artist in 1904. The Stationery Department, according to company legend, produced the invitations for the presidential inauguration of James Buchanan in 1857.
