Victorian Tooth Brush Box With Floral Design
This sale is for a Victorian tooth brush box/holder. In the past tooth brushes were hand made and also very expensive. A tooth brush box kept it safely stored. I obtained this piece at an Estate Auction. It was owned by a lady in Apalachin. New York. She had a vast collection of both soap dishes and tooth brush boxes. There is a marking on the tooth brush box. See picture# 6. The tooth brush box consists of the bottom dish and cover. When the cover is on. The piece measures 8 inches long, 3 3/2 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches tall at the top of the finial. I found no cracks but there is a small chip in the paint on the top of this piece. A super pair of early 19 c? ewe figurines complete with flower bocage.These delightful items are approx 7 cms wide x 7.5 cms high on a 6.3 cms round base. the rear of each has a fine gold anchor in the style of chelsea however i think they may be sampson please make your own mind up from the photos, they have damage as shown one has a hairline in the base and chip on the rear,the 2 green areas reglued on along with the ewes ear,damage to front leaf, The 2nd has small loss to bocage tips. And hairline to side and base this one has one leg folded slightly differing from the first, please note they are very dirty and are sold to restore,they will look nice displayed as they are.they are ideal for a small fireplace ect. Antique Handpainted Porcelain Bowl, Armorial, France, Samson?
This very unusual vase. More like a loving cup, is entirely hand-painted with an armorial seal on one side and a floral design on the other. Beneath the coat of arms is the word"Sperabo" which means"hope" in Latin. This item is 7 1/4 inches long, 3 3/4 inches wide, and 4 3/4 inches tall. The mark on the bottom is believed to be that of Samson of France, along with"Porcelaine de Paris, France. We believe this item was made during the late 19th century or the very early 20th century. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There is no loss of the painted surface. Some of the hand-painted detail is a raised white enamel.

We offer a pair of wonderful. Antique Staffordshire Pottery, 19 th Century Victorian“Nodding Head” figures. Which are becoming more and more difficult to find, particularly as a pair. These typically date from between 1860 and 1900. These characters are elaborately dressed with gilded highlights. Each holding a piece of fruit. Their delicately hand painted faces adds to the charming nature of the figures which stand approximately 7” high. They each have number 33 marked on the inside at the base. The heads nod on metal pivot pins. With extended necks to provide the balancing weight. The faces have small holes. Between eye and ear, where metal spectacles were fitted, but these are missing. Considering their age. They have survived well, but there is some damage which we have attempted to highlight in the photographs. Each has a few chips and ... morecracks around the neck hole. The gentleman has a broken(missing) section to the Melon Slice he holds; also a repaired section at the rear bottom and a crack. The Lady has a crack behind the right shoulder and a small chip on the rim of her bonnet. This list of faults makes it sound as they are in poor condition. Offered for sale is this original nineteenth century STAFFORDSHIRE pottery figural spill vase. It features a large ewe sheep in front of a tree that forms the vase. The sheep has great frit"wool" The vase measures 7" high and 5" across at the base. This piece is in very good estate condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing of the glaze or repairs noted. There are a couple of firing lines on the bottom of the base-not at all an issue but mentioned for accuracy. This fine figural spill vase should be welcome in any collection! It features a moulded design to the edge with crowns and flowers. Condition wise it is structurally good with only minor wear noted and a couple of small hairlines. Overall a very nice example. This exquisite little(4" antique jug has the printed mark of Samuel Radford- mark with entwined"SR" in oval with crown device above. With the absence of the word"England" this mark dates to circa 1880. The word"England" being added in 1891. With rich and extensive pattern coverage- pattern embossed and fluted- the rim is scalopped and trimmed with gold. Dainty floral pattern in amber. Pink and touches of turquoise& cobalt blues. The pattern is picked out all over in gold. Impressive table and cabinet display.

Description This antique circa early 19th century period. Ilmenau German Porcelain dish attributed to Christian Nonne& Roesch factory, is of small shallow rounded form with tiny flower heads applied to the back of the rim in Gothic Revival flower head pattern. It is finely hand painted to the front with flowers& insects in the Meissen style and the applied flowers to the back are also individually picked out in colour. This lovely porcelain dish is marked to the base with a hand painted cobalt blue mark of a line intersecting an oval. The closest marks we could find were those of Christain Nonne& Roesch of Ilmenau. It is in good condition apart from a small blown bubble in the edge of the rim, which also has a couple of tiny firing flaws. This is a small tureen comprising dish. Lid and"saucer" or whatever you call the matching plate thing that the tureen sits on) I'm not an expert so I can't say much about it but it looks pretty convincingly 19th century to me. The decoration's transfer printed. Pretty sure it's stoneware but I'm not 100% sure. It measures about 22cm x 17cm x 13cm and weighs about 987g. I am offering a very rare and very old spo ngeware/pottery bank. It is a Amer ican Eagle. I have never seen one in all my research. So if yo u collect rare pottery o r banks. This is a rare find. I am only selling due to financial issues. It is 3" tall 3 1/2" wide at the widest part. As I have desc ribed I have examined it for any chips or cracks and found none It does have crazing and some flaws made during the firing process(remember it's age) The picture show accurately its condition. This prattware? framed pot lid was made in the mid Victorian period. And is decorated and titled Doctor Johnson. From a painting by E.M. ward. It is in good condition to the front where it matters, with just some very minor scratches, the reverse cant be seen due to framing, as shown.
