19TH CENTURY STAFFORDSHIRE HIGHLANDER HOLDING CORNUCOPIA VASE This is a delicate and colourful 19th century Staffordshire highland figure. Dressed in traditional costume and carrying a cornucopia vase with flowers on their shoulder. The figure stands on a mottled base and measures 7 1/2 inches high. The figure has been cleanly restuck around the aloft shoulder.
MID 19TH CENTURY STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFERWARE PRINTED CHILD'S ABC PLATE HORSE RACE
This is a wonderful Mid 19th Century Staffordshire Transfer Printed and Molded Child's ABC Plate showing a Horse Race. It measures approximately 6-3/4" in diameter. The rim is molded with the full alphabet. The well area of the plate is a brown transfer printed'horse race' seen showing the jockeys accented in red and blue during a face. The grandstands are in the background with people cheering. The ground is accented in green. It is in excellent condition with only minor age appropriate discoloration seen mostly on the backside. There are NO chips. NO cracks, NO repairs and NO re-glazing. The plate shows subtle production period mold lines which should NOT be confused as neither cracks nor repairs. This listing is for a super pottery copper lustre and hand-painted goblet, with a Victorian"tinker" type repair, Staffordshire in origin I believe, and probably dating from c.1850. The pottery goblet is of a chalice goblet form, with a deep bowl, the stem and foot have long since been broken off and replaced by a blacksmith made conical tin foot, really well made, and fitted seamlessly to the pottery cup, it is covered in a deep copper lustre glaze effect, with a band to the bowl of embossed floral sprays, hand-painted in colours on a white ground. Here for auction is this lovely 19th century staffordshire Greyhound Pen Holder. It has the usual odd glaze mark as seems to be common for this period. There is small areas where the original paint has worn typically the tips of the ears. Collar and slight bits on the back. Behind the one ear you can see a join where the ear was put on during manufacture of this wonderful piece but this is just an original join as the glazing is in perfect condition around the rest of the ear. There is no evidence of any cracks or repairs and I would say that considering its age it is in good condition. Size is approximately 18cm long x 13.5cm high x 6.5cm wide. Antique Softpast blue and white covered sugar. This is a fantastic piece. Mildly colored with age and no chips. There is a very fine'crack' in the surface glaze that does not go through the clay. The finial on the top is in good condition and has never been repaired. The transferware is an intricate European style scene in a beautiful shade of medium blue. There is no maker's mark. But the faint blue hint in the glaze around the base indicates it is pearlware. It measures 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" at the rime and is 6" in height to the top of the finial. An attractive antique/Victorian Staffordshire figural group depicting a young couple. The figure stands 12.5 cms high with a 5 cms base. It weighs approximately 169 grams. The figures are dressed in brightly coloured clothing. The boy is dressed in a cobalt blue jacket and stripped coloured'skirt' and is holding an orange scarf. The girl is wearing a deep orange top and a pink and light green pinafore dress. Each of the couple's faces are delicately painted some areas faded in parts. For its age. This is a listing for a Nineteenth Century English ceramic large cup and saucer The Farmer’s Arms- in God is Our Trust. The pieces have black lettering with color highlights of yellow. Green and pink on an off- white cream base. The cup is decorated on all sides with proverbs, farm implements and flowers. The saucer is 7 5/8" and the cup is 3 ½" high and 6" from handle to rim. The bottoms have the Adams England mark. The cup has small chips along the rim.

The front and back are decorated with relief molding of three seated gentlemen drinking in polychrome. It has 3 glazed brick red bands with further flourishes to the handle and the interior has an applied molded frog which gurgles when drunk from. ~ Dimensions ~ The mug has a diameter of 4.75 inches(12 cm) andit is 5 inches(12.5 cm) tall. The width including handle is 6.25 inches(16 cm) and it weighs 768 grams. ~ Condition ~ The mug is in excellent condition for its age. This is an unusual example of a Mid 19th Century Staffordshire Flatback in the form of an Inkwell and Quill holder. Standing 8cm high. It is a tulip type flower standing on a naturalistic base flanked by two doves. Unfortunately there is a repair to the lip of the inkwell and one wing of a dove is missing.
