This was originally part of an 8 piece toilet set(chamber set) That would be the large covered two or three piece waste jar. Lidded chamber pot, large pitcher and wash bowl, smaller water pitcher, shaving mug, covered two or three part soap dish, horizontal razor box and vertical toothbrush holder. I could not define this transfer ware pattern but it most likely falls under the category of a British, European or Romantic theme. It measures about 4 3/4" long by 3 7/8" wide. The base stands 1 1/8" tall and is 2 7/8" tall to the lid's top. This is a very early example as there is no lid handle or finial. It would predate ironstone or porcelain, most likely earthenware. The insert is pierced so the soap did not, and would not today, set in water becoming mushy and sloppy.ewwww. There are no chips, cracks or stains. This will be a 2 lb. package. Antique Covered Toothbrush Holder, Razor Box or Soap Dish 19th Century
I bought this in Germany in the 70s. It works quite well for storing things in a bathroom. I am trying to downsize and do not have a spot for it. The covered dish measures about 9 inches long and 3 inches wide. There are a few hairline cracks inside the cover(see pictures#5& 6) I had just washed the top so you could see them since it was damp. Normally they are hardly visible and you cannot see them from the top of the cover. Also you can see some crazing inside. These too are not visible on the top. Would go well with an antique or primitive theme!

I will be selling a variety of Antiques and Collectibles. Please feel free to ask any questions. Up for sale is a Very Beautiful Old Labelle China 3 pc. Soap Dish. It is in fair condition. It has a chip to the underside of the lid. Some gold paint loss, a small glaze chip, two short hairlines(one can be seen to the inner rim side the other can be seen on the exterior rim side) and the inside has light discoloration. The piece that goes inside has a mfg. small slit in the pottery that was not a resault from damage. This piece measures 4" High 4 1/4" diameter and is 2 5/8" High without the lid. Insurance. FROM AN UPSTATE NEW YORK ESTATE WE HAVE A VINTAGE ANTIQUE 3PC VICTORIAN COVERED SOAP DISH FROM MERCER CHINA Up for bidding. covered soap dish that is approx 3" tall by 5 1/2" in diameter. Marked on the bottom Mercer China Est 1865 in a circle Hallmark.Green in color. The piece is decorated on both the rim of the bottom bowl as well as along the top of the cover with a gold accented flowered victorian design. The colors are great.There are lavenderish blue. Turquiose blue, pink, and reddish/orange colors in the pattern. This covered soap dish consists of three pieces: lid cover, drain plate insert& bowl. This piece is in great condition with no cracks chips or repairs to either the lid or the bowl. The drain piece which resembles a flower frog has a section around the edge about 1 1/2" long where it is damaged. It is just ... moreslightly chipped(not deep) and hardly shows. I am not sure which way the piece is supposed to sit in the dish but one way it would not show at all.The piece has a lot of crazing and the bottom bowl is darker than the top. When the top is in place the difference in color is not nearly as noticeable. It has a great antique look to it. It is old and shows age.this is not a piece that looks new out of the box by any means.But it is all age appropriate and in solid condition. A kind of octogon rectangle shape. 6" x 4.75" and the base is 1.5" high and the lid to top of handle is 2" for a total of 3+5" Has a black scallop decoration on base and lid. One smudge. See picture. The insert has no chips or cracks but does have crazing. Victorian Covered Soap Dish: Marked Royal Corona Ware England
This sale is for a Victorian 3 piece covered soap dish. I obtained this piece at an Estate Auction. They were owned by a lady in Apalachin. New York. She had a vast collection of both soap dishes and tooth brush boxes. The bottom of the soap dish is marked: Royal Corona England. Please see picture# 5. The soap dish consists of three pieces. The soap dish. A drain plate and the cover. When the cover is on, it measures 4 inches to the top of the finial and the diameter of the dish is 5 1/2 inches. I found no chips or cracks in this soap dish. BUT a lot of these dishes that I am listing have 3 evenly spaced chips in the glaze. which are located on all three pieces of the soap dish. I believe that these are made during production of the soap dish. Victorian Covered Soap Dish w/Insert, Semi-Porcelain Transferware c.1891-1910
Selling Victorian covered semi-porcelain soap dish with insert and transferware floral design. With gold trim, on cream background. It is about 5.5" square and 4.25" high with cover. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The inside bottom of the dish and the insert have some stain spots(see pictures) It is stamped with the"Henry Alcock& Co. Cobridge, England" logo that was used between 1891-1910. It also has an impressed mark that appears to be initials. Thank you and please contact me if you have any questions. Antique Covered Soap Dish W/Drainer Goodwin Pottery Co. Semi Porcelain
Pretty pink antique covered soap dish with drainer. Estb. 1844 The Goodwin Pottery Company Semi Porcelain stamped on the bottom. 2" high and 4 3/4" in diameter with the lid off and 3 1/2" high with the lid on. The lid is 5 1/2" in diameter. There is some crazing. A chip on the lid handle and on the edge of the lid. Also some uneveness in the color and a crack on the inside of the lid which is more noticable on the inside. There is crazing and some stains on the bottom of the drainer.

Antique Ertruria Pottery 3 pc. Covered Soap Dish 1863-1894
This is a lovely antique three piece soap dish by Ertruria Pottery(Ott& Brewer) Trenton NJ. This back stamp was used from 1863-1894. Some age appropriate crazing but no cracks or chips. Pretty unbelievable in that it is over 100 years old! Oval bowl. Raised soap drain tile and handled lid. It measures 7" long and 5" wide. Lovely!

One of two pieces I found in the same pattern. Unmarked except for the pattern number 13549 and another character that could be an X, ÷, or- 1- The other piece. Listed separately, is a 4-1/2" high cabinet vase. This piece is a covered soap dish with insert. Measuring 5-1/4" in diameter overall and about 3-1/4" high. Antique English White Ironstone Covered Soap Dish in the Ring and Cable Shape by J& G Meakin 1875-1890. 3 3/4" High x 6" Wide x 4 1/4" Deep. The condition of this covered soap dish is very good. It has a glassy glaze and no crazing. There is no damage. Only a little line where the handle attaches to the cover. But ~ this is in the making. There is a drainer inside. Although it fits well, it is a slightly different color and has crazing. So. I think it was added and not original ~ but, it works.

Antique 19th Century IronStone China Warranted Covered Soap Dish. Blue Tulip Pattern- Antique soap dish is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks anywhere on lid or dish. The gold filigree is worn around the outside edge of the lid but is good on the handle. The inside soap holder does have small flaws from production and does show crazing from age. Marking on bottom was smeared when I purchased 20 years ago as shown in photo. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have, and thank you for looking.

Knowles. Taylor and Knowles Iron Stone China Bath Vanity Set or Shaving Set Hand Painted with Water Lilies. Cat Tails, Marsh Grass over Burgundy Band with Gold Trim Water Lilies were very popular in the early 1900's and could be seen on almost anything. Includes Covered Soap or Trinket Dish and Cup or Shaving Mug Apparently rare and hard to find as I could not locate this pattern anywhere on the web. This comes from my grandparents and mother's estate. It was manufactured by Knowles. Taylor and Knowles of East Liverpool, Ohio(not to be confused with KTK out of California) This company manufactured items from the 1853 to 1931 when the depression caused it to go out of business. Very good condition considering age. The surface cracks are due to the glazing process and become more apparent over time.
