A very fine figure which is in superb condition the colours are still bright and there is no damage. It has been in a display cabinet hence the superb condition. The modelling is very good. he only measures 3 inches tall and every detail is modelled beautifully. Every tiny finger is perfect and his hands and feet are superb. His face is so realistic. It is in the Dresden style has a gold anchor mark to back which I think is Samson Paris. Please see the photos at the end of the description as they form part of description. France in the late 19th Century. However the pair are in the style of numerous German and French pottery manufacturers including those from Dresden. This is 1 of a number of antique porcelain- pottery mugs- bowls- jugs and tea pots I am currently selling which have all come from the same collection.built up over many years.With examples of Sunderland Lustre. New Hall, Pearlware, Samson, Staffordshire, Creamware, Souvenir Commemorative to name but a few. You will see some are in much better condition than others.which are chipped, cracked, and some you would say want throwing out! Others have been repaired- restored ... morein antiquity.BUT. to the collector of such antique items of the 1800-1900's. some of these items are Museum Quality.even in the condition you see them in here.or you may just want an example of the factory. as for repaired items. these again are very collectable as you may NEVER see them other than in a museum.so please do NOT dismiss them as junk. This is an antique porcelain SAMSON of Paris mug/ tankard. Pictorial with all over decoration of hand painted flowers and gilt decoration and a family crest of a dog and lion either side of a blue shield which has a dog or lion and two arrows pointing downwards. There is a motto(quite rubbed but just readable) Fortis in Bello underneath the shield. On the top just under the rim, there looks to be 2 L's back to back, which could indicate the first initial of the family name. It measures approx 4. 3/4 inches in height. Top rim measures just under 3 inches in diameter, and the base measures approx 3 inches in diameter. This antique armorial mug is in good condition. With some age and use wear as expected, but no chips or cracks, just a little rubbing

19C FRENCH PARIS CHELSEA SAMSON MINIATURE CHERUB FIGURE SCENT BOTTLE c1890
This is a pretty little pair of late 19c French Samson scent bottles in the form of miniature figures of winged cherubs. They stands a little under 3" high with no chips or cracks to one and the other has a poor repair across his shoulder. A shame to split the pair up after over 100 years! The rear bases have the Samson gold faux Chelsea anchor marks circa 1890-1900. A low start with UK p/p £3.50.

This is a pretty little late 19c French Samson small figure of winged cherub with sheep. They stands a little under 3" high with no chips but has an old hairline through the figure.
