ANTIQUE DELFT CASTLE TILE For sale is one beautiful Dutch Delft tile decorated with a house. Well and ships in the background. The tile is framed with a newer Dutch oak tile frame. As often occurs with these tiles, there are some chips, and dings mostly covered by the frame. Noticeable outside the frame is one chip on the side and a one on the top. There is no maker's mark. The tile measures approximately 5" X 5" and the frame dimensions are 6 1/2" X 6 1/2" I am also selling a similar tile from the same time period under a different listing. Measurements: Tile is approximately 5" X 5" and outer frame dimensions of frame are 6 1/2" X 6 1/2" Age: Based on my research. I believe the tile dates sometime between 1690-1790. Condition: All items are sold"as is" There is glaze crazing. This is a Dutch Delft tile dating from the 18th century. It is painted in underglaze blue and shows a house with a well and boats. The tile measures 13.4cm square. It is in a black frame with a small hanging loop at the back. The tile is in fine condition. Bright and with very little wear. Please see my other items for six similar tiles.
