Incredible Vintage Antique Solid Wood Handcarved Corbel Birds Intricate Ornate
Here is an incredible vintage/antique solid wood handcarved corbel with some very intricate and ornate detail. There are various types of birds that are carved within the detail of this corbel. Along with many other designs. The corbel is quite large and stands about 27" tall. It is about 11" at its widest, and 4- 5" deep. The corbel is mounted on a very heavy steel base and does lift off the base. The base measures about 11 1/2 by 12" and weighs about 20 lbs. The wood carving itself weighs around 16 lbs. This is just a really beautiful and unique piece. I have not seen any like it listed on ebay. I don't know the actual age of this item, only that it shows signs of age. Gorgeous pair of antique wood corbels. Chippy white paint, weathered& worn. These are very large& heavy, measuring 22" long x 11" wide x 9 1/2" deep. Very ornate, fleur de lis in the ends of them. The condition is good, need a little work if your using them for construction. Square nails thru out, which dates them to the 1800's. Great for shelf brackets, cupboards or kitchen island, or hanging for décor. Truly a rare set of beautiful architectural artwork! Please email me with any questions you have about them. This is an antique Victorian Architectural Corbel. It measures 16 1/4" x 10" x 3 1/2" It is currently painted an olive green. There is on piece of the bottom trim missing and the front piece just needs to be hammered back in. It's loose as shown in the photos. Wood is NOT rotted. Does have paint ships.
