Beautiful plaster Corbels for Wall Shelf. Made to look archaic these are a beautiful vintage decor piece with it's old world charm and acanthus leaves design. Anything that looks like damage in the photos is not breakage but purposeful design elements to add age. Corbels are 13" long and depth is 8" from the wall. Shelf surface is 9" by 8" Weighs almost 9 lbs. each. They are not exactly uniform but are a pair. Rustic imperfections are on purpose.

This stunning set of light green corbels were reclaimed from a Victorian house situated along the Ohio River. The home these came from was a frequent stop on the under ground railroad. Sadly the home was torn down but I was able to reclaim these architectural pieces. I painted the tops to look like marble and used them as wall sconces but the winning bidder can use them as they see fit. The light green color is original( with many layers of paint and some flaking) and the wood is in excellent condition given the age. All of the adjacent homes along the River were built around the same time. Between 1840 and 1880. These are ready to hang and can be painted to match any decor. Priced to sell. It measures 12 1/2" 7 1/2" on the top by 14" tall. It has 2 wires on the back for wall mounting. It has nice detailing to the casting. It is painted in a bronzed or gilded color it weighs about 8 pounds before packing. There is some wear to the paint and a couple small chips on the back but otherwise it is in good condition with no chips or cracks. Two Antique Completely Hand Carved Corbels. from the Pacific Islands. extremely old. from the estate of a lady that spent many years in the Philliphines. and collected and brought back to the US Antiques. there appears to be no finish on these unique corbels. and they show all the signs of extreme age and use. most likely from a Temple of some sort or an estate home. they measure 28 1/2 inches along the front and 13 1/4 inches along the back. they are 5 1/2 inches wide and 8 inches deep at the top and go down to nothing at the bottom. Here we have an original pair of 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN PORCH CORBELS WITH THE ORIGINAL FINIALS ~. We acquired a total of four out of the same estate. So please check out the other two we have listed if by chance you need four. This pair of fancy Victorian corbels has a wonderful look and great detail in the design. They measure 24 inches tall by 17 inches long by 3 5/8 inches wide. They are somewhat dirty and would clean up quite nicely, or could strip them and add fresh paint. The wood is quite solid and there are no soft areas or rot. The one side looks like it was exposed to some heat, but it is only on the very surface and really did not hurt the corbels. Superb early 19th c gothic architectural gesso over plaster corbel of a devil head. Dating c.1820. Excellent attention to detail on this very unusual early 19thc corbel. Fine facial detail with prominent nose and lips and with pointed beard. One of two being auctioned. Measures some 5.5" x 3" max width x max depth 2.5" Condition is very good overall and consistent with age with some loss of gesso to the surface of the plaster corbel. All as per images show. Superb Fish Scale Serpentine Architectural Remains Massive Corbel Set
Large fragments like these are quite fun to decorate with. They exhibit classical details(repeating fish scales and volutes) but because they are simply remains from a larger piece they also look appropriate in modern settings. The underside and top has some roughness to the wood and there are some dings and scratches but none of this can discount their decorative value. Each piece is 13" x 9" x 7" This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects. This item can be combined with others to save on shipping.
