Offered for sale is a beautiful 18 tile mural hand painted and Made in Italy. It measures 4 ft x 2 ft. I bought it 20 years ago when we were building our Italian style home and traveling in Italy for Italian majolica for architectural features. This one did not find a spot and I finally realized that I need to part with the beauty! This mural depicts the Temple of Vesta in the Forum in Rome. It is signed by the artist on the right bottom corner-Tan Correale Italy. The back of each of the almost 7 7/8" tiles is marked DASS Made in Italy. Each tile is numbered on the back for brainless assembly. I searched eBay and the internet for similar murals-hard to find. Stoke Upon Trent: The partnership between Colin Minton Campbell and Michael Daintry Hollins ended in 1868. It produced a split in the famous Minton company. With Campbell in charge of china production at Minton's China Works, and Hollins producing tiles of various types at Minton, Hollins& Co. Set of (4) Art Deco Ceramic Tile Medallion Villeroy & Boch Mettlach
For your consideration is this group of 4 art deco ceramic tiles. They are signed by the maker. Villeroy& Boch, Mettlach and measure about 6 3/4" square and 5/8" thick. It would be my guess that they were made as floor tile and likely date to the 1920's or 30's. They have an overall impressed geometric pattern that combines with a central pinwheel shape that gives a dramatic art deco look. Each one has varying amounts of mortar residue on the back as well as some very minor edge wear but nothing that detracts. Would make a nice medallion on a shower wall, a great table top or just frame and hang on the wall as art. They are being offered estate fresh without reserve so help yourself. There are two minor chips on face, that are barely detectable and does not affect the integrity of the piece. Very Nice and beautifully done. The photos show the 4 edges that were created when the piece was made. Not chips. Please take a look at the first picture. Far left top along edge is one chip and on the right on the middle edge is another. Barely noticeable and actually looks like part of the piece.

They measure 4 3/16" 4 1/4" square and 7/16" 1/2" thick at the edge(thicker at the pattern) All six are unused and have no mortar.
