Victorian Antique Ceramic Tile Large IRIS 1902 - 1909 Made in England Richards
Here is a white tile with brown art work from the Victorian Era(the close up photo is closest to the actual color) It has a large picture of an Iris and its buds and leaves. It is a 6" by 6" tile. Marked England on the back. There are also numbers on the back: 5050(in red) 0, and 91. There is a piece of paper taped on the back that gives this information: H. Richards 1902- 09. The dates 1902- 09 is also written in pencil on the back. The on damage that I can see is a chip on a petal of one of the side flowers. It is the one on the right as you look at the picture. Again, please look at the close up photo to see it. It blends in on the larger pictures, but it is there. Please look carefully at the photos for the best idea of condition and design. This would look so pretty framed or as a place to set hot pans. Truly elegant! This ... morewill not be sent in an envelope. This tile weighs almost 13 ounces(unpacked) I have been asked about the high shipping fee for expedited shipping and I know as a buyer. I get shocked by those prices, too. eBay is now"encouraging" sellers to put expedited shipping as a first choice. I try to have First Class as a second choice so it seems more manageable. I put a figure for weight to cover a range of weights because the boxes weigh so much and I might find a sturdier yet stronger box in which to pack the item after I list it, so my prices can't be absolute. I do refund anything over fifty cents and I've being doing that using the less expensive online prices(quotes given to you by eBay were not online prices) I'm not sure everyone does it that way. Vintage Pilkington glazed 6' X 6" tile. Made in England. Possibly in the 1960's. Whimsical title seems to suggest the the gentleman is more interested in dining than romancing. Nice clear graphics. The tile has one very small chip on the bottom edge. The discolorations on the top side are where the glaze did not fully cover the edge.

Lot of 3 RARE Vintage PILKINGTON England Mid Century Modern Ceramic Tile. Starburst We don't have an exact date for these very unusual. Very stylish Pilkington 6x6" ceramic tiles, but the decidedly mid-century modern starburst motif puts them squarely in the 1950s to 1960s. We only have three, and we wish we had more! The gray and black on white design would fit into any contemporary interior, and they're a perfect choice for a retro ranch renovation. All tiles are in good unused condition with bright motifs and very. Very minor imperfections from decades in storage. One tile has a tiny bit of crazing to the glaze-you'd have to look very close to see this with the naked eye, and we tried to capture it in the photos to no avail, but we want you to know it's there. Gorgeous color and detail with only very slight clear crazing. No chips or cracks, slight glaze nip to one corner. Measures 6" square. Tracked shipping option includes tracking and insurances.
