Vintage Blue Glazed Yellow Clay 6-Inch Mixing Bowl Marked U.S.A. in a Rectangle Search This is a great mixing bowl made by some company somewhere in the United States probably sometime in the 20th century. Now that we have that settled. Here are the few descriptive clues I can point to. This bowl is a common 6-Inch bowl glazed with a medium blue glaze. It has a wide shouldered design, unglazed at the lip, the base of the shoulder and the foot. The lowest band of the body is spiral-shaped. It is marked with the embossed letters"U.S.A. in a rectangle and the size, 6 IN" I have found several sources that have definitively identified the maker based on the shape and arrangement of these characters. Sadly, there is no consensus and we are not prepared to go out on a limb with this one. The age of this piece is also a mystery and I am ... moregoing to say only that it appears to be consistent with other pieces made in the 1920' and 30's. Anyone who wishes to weigh in in this issue should contact us through the"Ask the seller a question" link. This vintage piece is in very good condition for its assumed age with no signs of significant damage or handling wear, but there are the expected minor rough spots on the foot. There are also several glaze faults, including a glaze skip near the lip and a blister nearer the base, which I have tried to show in these photos. Good size salt glazed stoneware container could be used for wine or any beverages. As it has a pouring spout. It is cobalt blue and gray with a cobalt stoneware top and cork plug. It stands about 9 1/2" tall. The cork looks totally unused and I feel the jug is fairly new. It is unmarked. It's in excellent condition. Unusual shape. Festively hand painted.

The glaze seems to have a faint cast of blue, espeically where the crazing is. Condition: This crock is in excellent vintage condition. There is overall glaze crazing. No chips, or cracks. Offered is an excellent condition. Vintage early 20th century, 3-color glazed Butterine Crock that reads'BLANTON/ CREAMO/ THE ONLY FULL CREAM/ BUTTERINE" on its front and"MADE IN U.S.A. BY/ A.D. GRAHAM& CO. BRADDOCK, PENNA. PATENTED 6-2-1914" on its reverse. Butterine was an artificially produced substitute for real butter that was available around the beginning of the 20th century. These crocks were given to customers by retailers of butterine, both to use and advertise their product. This crock bears a beige body with white and blue upper and lower bands. It is in excellent condition, exhibiting no cracks, chips, or hairlines. This crock displays just a slight amount of non-objectionable glaze darkening on a small section of its' frontal area, and also, the usually encountered, light glaze crazing that comes with ... moreage on all vintage pottery. 1977 Glazed Redware Vase Cobalt Blue and White Mottled Color Two Handles and Ruffled Top by Ned Foltz For your Foltz Redware Collection Details Description: This is a beautiful vase with two handles and a ruffled rim made by Ned Foltz. The vase has a round flat base having outwards slightly curved sides rising to the center then curving inwards to a neck. The neck then flares outwards again and ends at a ruffled plain rim. It has two applied handles which reach from the center to the neck of the vase. The vase is glazed inside and out and has a beautiful cobalt blue and white coloring reminiscent of metal agate ware typical in Pennsylvania Dutch kitchens. The coloring is the same both inside and out. The center of the vase has several incised lines going around the circumference of the base as does the neck. In between the two sets of lines ... morethere are incised flowers or pinwheels in a repeating pattern all along the circumference of the pot. Just a beautiful piece that is rather uncommon. Some of the red coloring of the redware is coming through the blue and white coloring of the vase giving it a very nice appearance. The bottom of the vase is unglazed and has the typical color of unglazed redware. The base is signed and dated by Ned Foltz. Just a beautiful and rather substantial piece of a nice size. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: 1977 Origin: Reinholds. A frence tin glazed charger 1800 decorated with pink& blue flowers& green folage very rare. Dimentions 13.5 diameter quite a large one in good condition apart from a few frits& chips to rim only to be expected for this sort of thing, the flowers are blues& pinks with green stems& folage decorated around sides nice thing, The word faience. First applied to French tin-glazed earthenware and then to wares made in Spain, Scandinavia, and Germany, was certainly derived from Faenza, the item is worth much more than my asking price but I need to sell so my price will reflect this good luck.

Set of 2 Antique Chinese Turquoise Blue Glazed Porcelain Rooster Figurine A nice pair of vintage Chinese porcelain turquoise glazed chickens from the early 20th century. I don't think they are an actually pair but together look like a pair with very minor differences. The roosters are in good condition. I find minor chips on the tips of two of the tips to one roosters comb and one minor chip on the tip of one of the other roosters comb, these could easily be touched up. The base of one has an impressed CHINA mark, the other a printed CHINA mark. The roosters stands 6" tall. I am listing quite a few Chinese pieces. I will combine to save on shipping. This auction is for a beautiful deep blue matte glazed 8" Rookwood tulip pot. Pot is clean and looks new. No chips or cracks. Glaze is even and the pot is fully covered with a few production glaze bumps that are typical in the Rookwood glazing process. Bottom is clearly marked XXI(1921) Rookwood reverse R sunburst mark with the number 2406. There is a T in blue magic marker that was on the bottom piece when I got it(it is pictured) Don't know why it is there or where it came from. This is magnificent piece of American Arts and Crafts history. We have an 8 month old who is going to be walking shortly so I am thinning my pottery collection so everything fits in the locked down cabinet. Washington Estate Sale Find. The Vintage lidded brush pot is in good condition for it's age. The bottom/ base of the brush pot/ jar, shows some age, it has the appearance of being used. The inside bottom of pot has raised dots. The in terior of the pot is unglazed. The exterior is glazed. The Covered Lid is also in good condition.
