Pair of Antique Horse Shoe Barn Door Rollers W/ 8ft Track. 1850's Carriage House
Antique? barn door rollers with 8 feet of track. They were taken out of a really neat carriage house built in the 1850's. I have no idea how old these actually are. We removed them by hand. No torching or cutting. All I can say is.it was not easy. =) The carriage house and the original residential house were going to be torn down for a parking lot. The carriage house was so beautiful and just thinking of the history. I hated to see every thing just thrown away. The rollers measure approx. 12 1/4 inches in height. 13 3/4 to the bottom or the rollers. 15 1/2 wide at the bottom. These are the bigger rollers. Eight feet of track. The track and rollers still seem very solid to me. There is surface rust but I couldn't find anything rusting through. The track is a little bumpy. I did clean these as well as I could with a bad wrist. There ... morewas a lot of years worth of dust and grease so believe me when I say. You would not have wanted them as is. After cleaning, I sprayed with some WD40 to prevent rusting so there is still a thin layer of that. If you want to remove it, just use some degreaser. There are probably areas I couldn't clean real well especially around the wheel. So they might need some light cleaning. For the track. You will see four(I don't know what they are called) whatever they are that the track attaches to with a bolt. There is one missing but it did roll perfectly fine when we opened and closed the door. For those who may think only a"Top Rated" Vendor can be trusted to be a good seller. I lost my status because I didn't list/sale enough in a certain amount of time. Frankly I don't think it goes hand in hand but I will have it back when I sell more items in a certain amount of time. They actually told me I got it back but I don't see it so who knows what they are doing. A pair of Louden Roll Easy stable door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/8" wheels turn freely. These rollers are in excellent working condition. They come with 4 good working bolts and square nuts. This set of rollers came off a racehorse stable door that I could not"save" So I used the parts to fix up the other 5. This set, I think is the"prettiest" partly because a section of the roof gave way in a summer storm and so some doors and hardware were then left exposed to the weather. The 8' pc of Louden track is good and straight with all the wall brackets there and well attached. I cleaned up this hardware, but decided against stripping it or painting it be because I think that their unique" look" kind of tells a story. Premium Antique Ribbon Barn Door Track and Rollers
I am selling some PREMIUM antique ribbon barn door track and rollers. This track has NEVER been out in the weather. It was inside an old lumber yard. Not many chances to get track and rollers this old that have NEVER seen a drop of rain or a flake of snow. Just because of the age. It has what I would call, light rust on it. You can still see some of the original paint on it. Turn the rollers over and the ORIGINAL red paint is quite visible. No flaking rust, no real need to refinish, outside of some dust, this track could be hung today and you could enjoy the natural patina that comes with 100 years. All the rollers work freely. As a bonus. I also have the original square cut nails that were used to hang the track. I don't have a nail for every hole since there was not a nail in every hole and I did break some taking it down but I can ... moreprovide some original nails. This sale if for one ten foot section of track and 2 Safety Door Hanger Co. rollers plus some cut nails. Pick up here in central Indiana would be preferable but I can ship. I also have some six foot track. If you choose the six foot track. I can box and ship that with no problem. For the ten foot track, I would have to either cut the track in two or down to eight feet to avoid a large shipping bill. I am adding a $15 handling fee to make the transport box. The patent dates are around 1901 and from my knowledge of the old lumber yard. That section they were in was built between 1900 and 1915. So they are close to 100 years old or older. The photos are of the rollers but for the track. It is indicative of the pieces I have but not necessarily the exact piece in this auction.

These have a patent date of June 11th 1912 on the cast iron hanger part. I would have to say that these type rollers and track were the"Cadilac set of the day" rollers. A matching pair of Louden Roll Easy barn door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely. They are in very good working condition. I did have to change out the bearings on both of these and I used an industrial adhesive to reset the axel pin. So I would recommend these to be used on a small to medium sized interior door. The 6 1/2' and the 3 1/2' track pc are good and straight with all of the original wall brackets there and well connected, they were cut from the same 10' pc for economical shipping. I removed this 8 foot barn door track and rollers from a demoed barn about 10 years ago. This barn had 2 doors. I was only able to salvage 1 door from the 2. I am selling the door in another listing. The track and rollers are rusty and will have to have some work to make them more operational or could be used as is. You are geting what is in the pictuers. ATTENTION! Just so there is no misunderstanding as of 3-26-14 I have added 3 pictures. They show a slight bend/kink/defect in the track. It is about 15 inches from the end. A pair of FE Myers door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely. These rollers are in good working condition. They come with 4 good working bolts and square nuts. The 8' 8" track pc is good and straight with all the original wall brackets there and well connected. It comes with 18 square headed lag bolts or screws. These rollers were off a RR depot"highdock" It was a small offloading building for a train and its floor was around the same height as the floor of a boxcar so they could unload the boxcars easier. These rollers had so many coats of red paint on them that the lettering was hardly readable. So I stripped off most of the paint and carefully cleaned them up. A pair of antique myers stayon adjustable[pat May 28 01] tandem wheel door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 2 5/8" wheels turn freely. On one wheel on the front side of it one can see in the picture that it has a tiny"pc or fleck missing" I think that this was done in the original casting process. And the roller worked just fine for many a year like that and I see it to be no problem. These rollers are in very good working condition. All of the adjustment screws and nuts can be turned with ones fingers. They come with 6 good working bolts and square nuts to connect the"hanger plates" to the door. The track pc is 6' by 1 1/4" by 3/16" and it is good and straight with all of the wall brackets there and well connected. It was sandblasted and painted. A set of 4 matching Louden Roll Easy brand barn door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely. All of these rollers are in good working condition. Some of the bearings were seized up. But I did some careful work to them to get them all working good. I did have to fix some"flat" spots on the wheels of the two rollers on the right hand side of the pictures. In our 5th picture it shows a close up of the two wheels that I worked on. I used an industrial adhesive and filler to fix the spots. Just looking it is very hard to see that they were even worked on. I would say that the worked on rollers should be used on small to medium sized interior doors[ up to 150 lbs] I have fixed 10 rollers with this adhesive and filler with no problems. I would warranty these" fixed" rollers for a year. The ... moredoor hanger straps are for a door 1 3/4" thick and the 8 bolts and square nuts work good. The 8' pc and 10' pc of louden brand track are both good and straight with all of the original wall brackets there and well connected. The wall brackets would hold the rail out 1 1/2" from the wall. THE TEN FOOT PC WOULD HAVE TO GET CUT FOR SHIPPING. I will not ship a 10' pc because it is too expensive. I can ship a nine foot pc if someone wants that. Antique Heavy Duty Set Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers w/ 8' Track Blacksmith Nails
A very nice piece this is an antique set of two heavy duty barn door rollers complete with it's original 8' track and 13 blacksmith made nails we pulled out of the barn when we took everything down. It is complete and ready to install but some of the nails need straightened and the one roller wheel has a broken flange and it will need to be replaced. This is very simple to do. Drill or grind off the one rivet head I am pointing two and the wheel just slips out. You will need another similar 3" wheel to take its place, I would think a 3" pulley bought here on Ebay or at a home improvement store will work perfect. I am listing this as a 24 hour auction starting at half the price of the others here on Ebay. If it doesnt sell I am going to replace the $8 wheel and it will sell for much more. It doesnt matter what it looks like ... morebecause it will never be seen when the door is on the track. This was in a 120 year old barn that was recently torn down and while it has a rusty patina on the track, the doors at one time were painted red then white as those colors are on the rollers. The nails are very brittle so be gentle straightening them out. You set the price on this one as it goes to the last bidder! For sale we have a nice antique pair of"BIG 4" barn door Rollers and Track. The track is made up of one six foot cast iron piece and one three foot cast iron piece with the male& female puzzle knotches on each end of both. So the total track length measures slightly over 9 feet. Track is solid, rollers pivot and pulley wheels turn well. Replaced the one C.I. wheel in the one as the existing wheel had been cracked in the back of it. New C.I. wheel is 3-1/2" diameter while the Big 4 with the original wheel is only 3" diameter so when mounting on your door you will have to make the 1/2" adjustment. Nice rust patina throughout. a pair of louden"roll easy" brand barn door rollers that are in very good working condition. The roller wheel on the left has what I would call a very small casting flaw on the outer edge of the wheel. It just looks like it missing a small chip[ 1/8" by 1/8" and it does not affect the wheels performance in any way. Other than that they have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely like they should. They come with 4 original good working bolts and square nuts. The door hanger straps are for a door 1 3/4" thick. There are 2 pcs of louden brand track[ one 6' pc and one 8' pc] The 6' pc has a rail connector pc on the left end of it to connect it to the 8' pc. Both pcs of track are good and straight and both pcs come with all of the original cast steel wall brackets there and well connected. ... moreThe wall brackets hold the rail out 1 1/2" from the wall. The rail measures 1 1/4" by 3/16" thick. I did carefully clean up all of this hardware trying to not remove too much of the"age" off the surface. The wood is in ... moregreat condition and has only the patina and flaws expected from a full functioning horse stable door. The door(s) have not been cleaned whatsoever. Therefore barn dust, dirt and cobwebs are seen in the pictures. Will gladly hose down for buyer if requested. The track and hardware show a great patina with only mild surface rust. A local artist has painted some colorful horses on the front(see pictures) but the buyer can appreciated the art or simply paint over them. The door otherwise has a light grey, faded paint on the front, seen under the horses. and on the back it has the original, unfinished frame wood with the vertical door boards painted in a vintage, medium to dark green color. The door is in great condition with the absolute strong integrity of a well built custom stall door. Dimensions: Size of Wooden Door: 35 inches wide. 78 inches tall, 1.5 inches thick, Size of Door Including Rollers: Door is 82 inches tall when adding height of rollers. For your consideration is a nice antique pair of"BIG 4" barn door Rollers and Track. The track is made up of one Eight foot cast iron piece with the ends having a male& female puzzle knotch. Track is solid. Rollers pivot and pulley wheels turn well. Nice rust patina throughout. Track had been painted light grey at one time when they re-painted the Barn. This is the real thing not a modern reproduction! This is the last set that I have that was salvaged from a century old barn in Northeast Wisconsin. Elkhart Lake Area. Perfect for any restoration. A set of antique myers ok stayon door rollers[ pat. May 28th 01] that has no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely. This set of rollers is in very good working condition. They come with 4 good working carriage bolts and square nuts. And lag bolts for the track. The 6' pc of myers brand track is good and straight with all of the original wall brackets there and they are well attached. The wall brackets would hold the track out 1 1/2" from the wall and the rail of the track measures 1 1/4" tall by 3/16" thick. I did carefully strip and clean and handpaint all of this to give it a new but yet somewhat old look. A set of adjustable tandem wheel rollers that have no chips or cracks and all of the wheels turn freely. These rollers are in excellent working condition. These rollers are very smooth running and they do have the stay on feature that would keep them from lifting off of the track. These rollers have to be slid onto the track from either end. I"dressed up" a somewhat basic looking set of rollers by welding on some very large old horseshoes. If someone buys these they will be getting a"one of a kind" set of very rustic rollers.
