One Pair of Early Antique Barn Door Rollers - Architectural Element - Hardware
This listing is for one pair of early antique barn door rollers recovered from a carriage house in Baltimore. MD. The photos show two pair. The listing is for the remaining pair of rollers- the pair with the spoked wheels. They are in excellent working order with wheels that spin freely and no chips or cracks. The mounting plates measure 9" X 4" with 2" diameter wheels. The pieces measure aproximately 12" in overall length. They are made for heavy doors with huge mounting plates that can accomodate a door between about 1 1/2" up to 2 3/4" thick. I have most of the original bolts, but a few are bent. Antique Folk Country Painted Horse Stable Wall Divider Equestrian Barn
This is a very unusual piece in the form of a stable wall divider that was folk painted on both sides of the top rail. The wall is two wooden boards painted red with black fancy painting on the top board. The boards are holding up iron rods that serve as the divider. This came out of Virginia and the age is difficult to tell but the iron has a wonderful old patina. The wood is original but cannot determine when the painting was done. Best guess sometime in the early to mid 20th century. We have built a stand to hold the wall for display and it is 120 5/8" long 51 3/4" tall on the stand it is 56 3/8" tall. This is a grain bed off of a 1950 Ford that I turned into a display booth for selling at an antique shop. First photos shows it loaded up with items I was selling in downtown Kansas City. Take a look at this vintage pair of ALLITH-PROUTY COMPANY RELIABLE HANGERS for the old style barn/shed sliding doors. These are heavy weight cast iron constructed. Patented NOV 19th. 1901 and DEC 8th, 1903. They were classified as No. 2 size. Made in Danville, Ill. All four rollers on these barn door hangers move freely. On one of the upper guide rollers, there is a crack in the cast iron. This won't affect the usability of the unit. I’ve shown the crack in picture#3. Thanks for looking at my auction! Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. All three turn freely. Need cleaning and or oiling, and are quite different. First is a cannon ball type roller. This item is about 7" long. 1 3/4" wide and weighs around 1 1/2 pounds. Wheels are about 1 3/8" across(contact me if you need more precise measurements) This set is rusty with that rustic look. Has just part of the mounting hardware attached(see pictures) No chips or cracks. Second is a piece with a bit more mounting hardware attached. Wheel portion is about 7 1/8" long and 1" wide. Whole mechanism weighs around 3 pounds 6 ounces. The wheels are about 1/4" wide. Has part that attaches to the door portion as well as three ... morebolts(did not try to unscrew them) Looks like a horseshoe type roller assembly. rusty but solid. The third is a tandem type roller made by" NATIONAL" Has partial hardware on the roller and a single bolt for door attachment(will need at least a nut for this) About 4 1/2" long and 1 3/8" wide(just roller portion) The whole thing weighs around 1 pound 6 ounces The bolt is about 6" long. 2 Antique Rustic Dated 1915 Iron Barn Door Trolley Track Rollers Hanger Hardware
This is a pair of antique Barn door track hangers or rollers that measure about 8-3/4" long or tall or so and are about 7-3/4" across the widest place. The wheels measure about 3/8" thick or so. They are both marked but it is very faint. And I had to put my reading glasses on, and have a magnifying glass to read this: Patent or something, 1915, or I think that is what I read. It is very faint. They both are of course are rusty, and both have a little red paint on them. They both turn very freely. These rollers come apart into two pieces, as on eof the pictures will show. I don't really know anything else about them. They would be great for your rustic farm decor or to collect! Please look at the pictures closely so that you can see the condition of these rollers!
