Two nuts I could not remove from the other bolts. I only tried some wd40, worked on the first ones, not on the other 2. There is overall rust and wear. dings to the aluminum buttons. They turn very stiff. measures approx. 10 1/8" X 5 3/4" wide each. They will fit in a medium flat rate box. weight is over 6 lbs wrapped I try to describe items to the best of my knowledge. Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. Vintage NATIONAL BIG 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers Farm Hardware (SET #1)
For your consideration is this pair of National Mfg. Co. Big 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers" Each roller measures approximately 10 1/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide. I found no signs that these were ever installed(see photos. No tracks on rollers or imprints by bolts or barn door on horseshoe bracket) and believe they are new. They were found on a shelf in the barn of a farm estate sale(with the second pair I have listed) and no telling how long they have been in that barn. The roller and the hinge on both move freely and smoothly and I would rate these both in good condition. The box has been wet at some time and a mouse might have had a bite or two. The brackets do have some surface rust and the high spots do show shelf wear. The new owner will decide to refinish or just wipe off and use as-is with character marks and all. Vintage Authentic Barn Door With Track. 4' x 7'
A NICE OLD BARN DOOR FROM THE KANSAS PRAIRIES. I removed this barn door from a demoed barn about 10 years ago. PLEASE NOTE! THIS MIGHT BE CONSIDERED A MARRIED DOOR. This barn had 2 doors. I was only able to salvage 1 door from the 2. Most of the bottom panel came from the second door as can bee seen in the pictures. I have the second track and rollers from the second door in another listing. SOMETHING INTERESTING about this door is that it had a counterweight to let it roll easier. The pulley is pictured in the center of the track. The track and rollers are rusty and will have to have some work to make operational. The roller wheels turn freely but are loose from years of use. Everything probably could be used as is. You are getting what is in the pictures. Pictures were taken right after I powerwashed and color will be a little lighter when ... moredry. This is a heavy door. I weighted it and track and it weights around 120 lbs. The door is approximately 4 foot wide x 7 foot high. You are bidding on 1(one) VINTAGE IRON METAL SLIDING BARN DOOR ROLLER/ HANGER ASSEMBLY. On one side there is a plate that is marked“BIG 4” and“PAT APR 24 1906 NATIONAL MFG CO STERLING. ILL” The overall length is approximately 10 1/4” and approximately 5 3/4” at the widest point. The free turning wheel measures approximately 3 1/4” in diameter. Approximately 5/8” wide and has a track groove approximately 1/4” wide. The U shape mounting bracket has 3 mounting holes with bolts and I’m not sure if the slight bend in the bracket was made that way. It weighs approximately 3 1/4 pounds. There is some surface rust and little pitting but overall appears to be in solid condition with no chips, breaks or cracks. I’ll leave the cleaning and restoration to the professionals. For sale we have a beautiful antique pair of"BIG 4" barn door Rollers and track. The track measures 8 feet in length. Track is straight and solid cast Iron. Rollers pivot and pulley wheels turn perfectly. Nice rust patina throughout. Track had been painted light grey at one time when they re-painted the Barn. Pulley's have three different colors showing Red. Black and the Green/Grey. This is the real thing not a modern reproduction! This was salvaged from a century old barn in Northeast Wisconsin. For sale we have a nice antique pair of"BIG 4" barn door Rollers and Track. The track is made up of one six foot cast iron piece and one three foot cast iron piece with the male& female puzzle knotches on each end of both. So the total track length measures slightly over 9 feet. Track is solid, rollers pivot and pulley wheels turn well. Replaced the one C.I. wheel in the one as the existing wheel had been cracked in the back of it. New C.I. wheel is 3-1/2" diameter while the Big 4 with the original wheel is only 3" diameter so when mounting on your door you will have to make the 1/2" adjustment. Nice rust patina throughout. I have up for sale a unique barn wood door. All our reclaimed doors have been salvaged from deconstructing barns in the lower East TN area. The majority of the doors range around 100 years old. Some may have some more modern pieces on them from people using the barns throughout the time frame until deconstruction. The size of the door is 1-1/8"thick x 30-1/2"long x 22-1/8"wide, that is not counting the stretcher boards holding the door together, counting them the door will about double in thickness. Some doors are more unique than others, some have the rusty strap hinges on them, others have the antique wooden slides to lock and open the door, and some just have some unique accessories on them, I would recommend looking and zooming in at the pictures to see the great detail and the unique characteristics of each door. These door rollers are straight from the farm. Made of iron. These pieces are heavy duty and have a nice rustic look. The wheels all roll freely but the bolts are tight.
