This listing is for one pair of early antique barn door rollers recovered from a carriage house in Baltimore. MD. The photos show two pair. The listing is for the remaining pair of rollers- the pair with the spoked wheels. They are in excellent working order with wheels that spin freely and no chips or cracks. The mounting plates measure 9" X 4" with 2" diameter wheels. The pieces measure aproximately 12" in overall length. They are made for heavy doors with huge mounting plates that can accomodate a door between about 1 1/2" up to 2 3/4" thick. I have most of the original bolts, but a few are bent. These hinges are really big. Really heavy, really old, and really NEAT looking. Both together weigh 31 pounds. You can tell these were forged. I like how the outside edges were given a bevel. These hinges have spent most of their 100 plus years outside so there is rust and pitting. With proper care, they could last another 100 years. Antique Folk Country Painted Horse Stable Wall Divider Equestrian Barn
This is a very unusual piece in the form of a stable wall divider that was folk painted on both sides of the top rail. The wall is two wooden boards painted red with black fancy painting on the top board. The boards are holding up iron rods that serve as the divider. This came out of Virginia and the age is difficult to tell but the iron has a wonderful old patina. The wood is original but cannot determine when the painting was done. Best guess sometime in the early to mid 20th century. We have built a stand to hold the wall for display and it is 120 5/8" long 51 3/4" tall on the stand it is 56 3/8" tall. Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made.
