UP FOR BIDS IS A Vintage pair of ALLITH-PROUTY COMPANY RELIABLE HANGERS for the old style barn/shed sliding doors. These are heavy weight cast iron constructed. Patented NOV 19th. 1901 and DEC 8th, 1903. They were classified as No. 2 size. Made in Danville, Ill. I've found a few sets of these over the years but they are very hard to find. They have embossed letters of cast information on both units. Both rollers are in great shape and roll freely. I did not touch these in regards to cleaning or buffing them. Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. This is a fine old pair of antique cannon ball style barn door rollers. They carry wear and rust consistent with their age- but they roll well and they are complete. These use cannon ball style track still made by the Cannon Ball Roller Company- formerly H.H.F. Co. of Harvard. Ill. The rollers are are model X149- which is embossed on each piece. Antique Vintage 3 Door Rollers Cannon Ball National Barn Hardware Rustic Decor
Up for bid is a variety pack of three(3) Barn Door Rollers. These industrial rural rollers are items I found together so decided not to look for the mates. But to offer them for sale. All three turn freely. Need cleaning and or oiling, and are quite different. First is a cannon ball type roller. This item is about 7" long. 1 3/4" wide and weighs around 1 1/2 pounds. Wheels are about 1 3/8" across(contact me if you need more precise measurements) This set is rusty with that rustic look. Has just part of the mounting hardware attached(see pictures) No chips or cracks. Second is a piece with a bit more mounting hardware attached. Wheel portion is about 7 1/8" long and 1" wide. Whole mechanism weighs around 3 pounds 6 ounces. The wheels are about 1/4" wide. Has part that attaches to the door portion as well as three ... morebolts(did not try to unscrew them) Looks like a horseshoe type roller assembly. rusty but solid. I found no signs that these were ever installed(see photos. No tracks on rollers or imprints by bolts or barn door on horseshoe bracket) and believe they are new. They were found on a shelf in the barn of a farm estate sale(with the second pair I have listed) and no telling how long they have been in that barn. The roller and the hinge on both move freely and smoothly and I would rate these both in good condition. The box has been wet at some time and a mouse might have had a bite or two. The brackets do have some surface rust and the high spots do show shelf wear. The new owner will decide to refinish or just wipe off and use as-is with character marks and all. This is a set of old Loudon barn door rollers which are marked Louden Roll Easy 1629 on one side and Fairfield Iowa on the other. These came from an old closed down store and I'm prety sure they are unused but have gotten wet at one time and have surface rust on them in places mostly on the barckets but could be repainted to look like new again. The wheels turn fine and measure approx 3-1/4" across and overall including the bracked approx. 10-3/4" long and the bracket would fit a 1-3/4" wide door. Here for your consideration is a nice pair of old horseshoe type barn door rollers. The main frame of these are made of cast iron. They are 10 1/2 inches long and 6 inches wide with a 3 inch diameter roller. As the pictures show they are rusty but in good useable condition, the rollers are free and turn fine. You are bidding on a set of antique barn door hinges. The total length of the hinge is 10 inches from the edge of the rectangular area to the tip of the hinge. The rectangular part is 5 1/2 inches x 2 inches. These hinges were salvaged off a barn near Kutztown. Pennsylvania. The wood from the door itself was restored and is now head boards for my twin grandson's beds. Awesome piece of history. Now lets give continued life to the hinges that were on the door!
