4 Old Rustic Brackets For Hanging HAY Trolley beams
6 These 4 Brackets are about 6 1/2 inches wide at the top and about 5 inches from top to bottom. They were used to hang up the beam that a hay trolley would rest on. They are a bit rusty. And is 2-1/2" wide and about 1" thick in the center, without any of the other attachments. It is VERY heavy. I can't find any makers mark, only the numbers 53. It is very heavy, and rusty, and will need cleaned up, as it is dusty and dirty It has a long curved hook like bolt that is attached, along with some other things that have bolts holding them in place. These do not slide or move, and I am not sure if they are supposed to or not. I am illiterate when it comes to this stuff! If they are supposed to mive, they are rusted too much. Antique Pair JAMESWAY Cast Iron Barn Door Rollers / Hay Trolley Pulley System
Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" Here is a pair of antique cast iron JAMESWAY rollers/ pulleys. I am not sure if these were used for a large barn door with a roller system or used with a hay trolley pulley system. Both pieces are marked near the top on one side with JAMESWAY. On the cross bar with 5A, and each of the wheels or rollers is marked on one side with L80A. Both set ups have old blue paint on them. One more than the other. The pictures show the rust coloring on each piece as a bright, brassy color– it is indeed surface rust or rust coloring and will easily come clean with a bit of steel wool and attention to detail. There ... moreare also some small bits of dried dirt and sand here and there. I did not brush or scrub these down or spray them with any lubricant, just a dry towel to remove the dirt and dust. Each roller system is about 8” tall and 9 ¾” wide at the wheels. The four pulley wheels or rollers each measures 4 ¾” wide and are 1” wide. The groove in each wheel will accommodate a rope or track that is ½” wide. The groove is ¼” deep. Each roller set has an old original bolt. Nut, standard washer and lock washer. All of the pieces are rusty and one bolt is bent over a bit. Both of the nuts come off, but the bolts should be replaced since the nuts only screw down a small way on the bolt.
