These are 2 antique barn door rollers which measure approx. 15-1/2" and the wheel measures 5-7/8" wide. They are marked MEDINA# 6 MFG. Co. Medina N.Y. The rollers both have surface rust but are solid. They have a little different wheels on them. They have a little different pattern and the one wheel is a little thicker but they have the same diameter and the groove appears to be the same thickness. Pair of Antique Barn Door Rollers Hanging Hardware Rusty Old Vintage 2
Here we have a pair of antique barn door rollers. One of the 2 is missing one screw that holds on the back piece of metal. The bar of metal that goes across the wheels has"FRANTZ" etched on both the front and back. And the back piece of metal reads"FRANTZ STERLING, ILL. One of the wheels on the piece that isn't missing a screw doesn't move, but all the other wheels move well, along with the hinges. Both are very rusty but you can still see some of the original lighter colored metal. The wheels have a 3" diameter and the whole thing is 9" tall. From wheel to wheel it is 7.5" wide and the base piece is 4" wide. This is a very cool antique which would be a great addition to any collection. In nice vintage solid condition- they measure approx. 10 1/4" high X 5 3/4" wide& are made for heavy doors- the rollers spin freely& come with the bolts& nuts attached, just the way I acquired them- marked"BIG 4" NATIONAL MFG. Recently removed from a working barn door. The rollers measure about 5 3/4" wide x about 10 1/4" tall. Wheels are about 3 1/2" in diameter. Track is 16 ft long two pieces: 10 ft and 6 ft. The two rollers are mounted on substantial door mounts(see photos) Two eight foot roller bars are included. These bars are designed to be mounted to allow a continuous sixteen foot roller track(see photo) because one roller track has a curved indent into which the other tracks curved nub fits perfectly. The original 8 square end door attachment nuts/bolts are included also. This is not a rescued piece of debris. This setup is functioning perfectly, and was only removed to allow a simpler, more"old guy" friendly setup to be installed because I am getting on in years and cannot push the door weight anymore. From a local estate. Here is a remarkably clean pair of National Mfg Co. Big 4" barn door rollers. These are nice and heavy, measuring about 10.5" top to bottom, anout 5.75" across the mount. Mount is shaped like a horshe- wheel swings out. Both pieces are in remarkably good condition for their age, paint looks original, these were apparently used but maybe for an interior application, not much rust and oxidation. Up for auction we have 2 sets of barn door rollers. Though I do think these rollers were used on lighter individual stable doors. The roller brackets are not a match. On the one bracket the lips are both bent the same way and on the other bracket the lips are bent in opposite directions, the widths of the brackets are the same and the width is the same, but again the lips are different lengths, please look at the photo where I placed the rulers to point out this discrepancy. The roller wheels spin freely and the roller wheel brackets do pivot a short distance up and down. The outside dimension of the roller wheels is 9/16 ths The roller wheels measure 2 3/4inches in diameter. I must also point out that on the one roller, where the large bracket is bolted to the smaller 3 hole mounting bracket, the top nut is froze up! There are remains of ... moreblack paint on these rollers, for what ever reason the one roller has a lot of black paint still remaining. I do not see any manufacturers mark on the rollers.The combined weight of the rollers is 5 lbs. Standard rollers for a track system, measuring about 9.5" top to bottom, wheels are 1 7/8" These are VERY dirty with dried, caked grease, they are complete and everything works, all hardware is free, the adjustment nuts are both loose. 1 This Track is Marked Myers on the front. It is a tube style track. It is about 73 1/2 inches long. The tube is about 2 1/4 inches in diameter.The front rain guard is about 7 inches wide. antique louden barn door rollers [ NOS ] with a 73 1/2" pc of track.
A pair of NOS louden barn door rollers that are attached to cast iron door hanger brackets that read: louden adjustable birdproof hanger Pat D June 11-12. These rollers and hangers are all in excellent working condition. They have no chips or cracks and the 2" wheels turn like new. The covered track pc has 2" letters reading louden embossed on the front of it. The rail of the track measures 6' while the attached cover overlaps 3/4" past the ends. The track is good and straight. The right end still has a"stop"bolted in the end. This track pc was salvaged from the"once fancy" horsebarn#2 which was located close to Fairfield Ia. Antique Allith Cast Iron Fire / Barn Door Hangers (2), Steampunk Hanger Hardware
REFURBISHED Allith Cast Iron Fire/Barn Door Hangers Over 100 Years Old- Steampunk Size: 23 ½” tall. 7 ¾” wide, 3 ¼” deep Weight: ~12.5 lbs(each) These hangers were salvaged many years ago from a warehouse located on Greens Bayou. Near the Houston Ship Channel. I’m told that the warehouse was built in 1914. The outward-facing surfaces of the hangers are nicely contoured. I’ve refurbished each hanger by removing the large rivet that held the wheel in place. Removing the rusted needle bearings from the wheel, sandblasting the hanger and wheel, replacing the rivet with a plain 5/8” square-head bolt, and replacing the needle bearings with two oil impregnated, powdered metal, bronze bushings(one inside the other) The bushings fit loosely, and the wheel rolls smoothly. The nut has been tack welded to the bolt to ensure that it does ... morenot back off. I sandblasted the hangers just enough to remove most of the rust. But not all of it. I didn’t want them to look like reproductions. And I wanted to retain the warm brown color. I have wiped them with oil to help prevent additional rusting. All surfaces have a sandpaper-like feel. These 2 hangers are not identical(see photos) On the back. One of them says“Allith Fire Door Hanger” and below that, Allith” The other says“Allith Fire Door Hanger” and below that, Saino Special” Also, the front face of one of the wheel housings says"H16" The last photo shows the two hangers standing on edge.
