The mirror has beautiful carved details at the top, and has a very tall, high profile. The dresser, by contrast, sits quite low, and only has two smaller drawers on top and one large drawer beneath. The original metal hardware is present on the drawers and is quite ornate and beautiful. The mirror will sit higher in reality than it appears in the photos. It was not attached when photographed. The finish on the mirror is in great condition, with only a few exceptionally light surface scratches and dings to it. There is one tiny little chip in the bottom of the mirror frame at the front center.

Legs, mirror frame and drawer faces. Solid wood drawer interiors. I believe the pattern of the oak is what is called Tiger Oak because of the stripes. The drawers are able to lock with a key– NO Keys included. The mirror and frame detaches from the dresser for hauling if desired. Condition: Dresser In Good + Condition. Looks nice. The mirror has some normal small spotting from age but is all-in-all very nice. The inside of the dresser looks solid. There are some. What looks like, varnish runs on the top of the inside of the dresser and some gluing runs. Not sure of their origin. The dresser side panels appear to be oak plywood as would be normal. All the ... moreedges, front facings, dresser top and mirror are solid oak. The beveled mirror is backed with what looks like masonite. There are some metal pieces in the center that must have something to do with the drawers as a stop? These are all in fine condition but have caused some problems on the bottom of the large drawers. All the drawers are solid. The bottoms of the drawers are'one' solid piece of wood. The large drawer bottoms have warped over time most likely because of being from one solid piece of wood. One has a crack. One drawer is worse than the other but both are warped as seen in the pics. This has caused the metal pieces to wear grooves into the bottom of the large drawers. Whether these can be reshaped or not I don't know(It should be an easy replacement if so desired) They work fine but are grooved. Vintage Oak Bowfront Dresser with Mirror...painted and refurbished!
This is an antique bowfront oak dresser with mirror that although old. Was in great structural shape. Just needed some refreshing. I painted it with Southern Belle Decorative Paints and waxed it with Fiddes Wax. Southern Belle Decorative Paint is for sale on Ebay, Amazon and Etsy. The colors I used were Burlap Feed Sack for the entire piece and I dry brushed the detail pieces with Chrissie's Canning Jar and Talladega Tar. I then waxed in clear wax and Jacobean for the natural top. I painted the original hardware with the Chrissie's Canning Jar and Talledega Tar also. The piece is 42 inches wide. Beautiful 4 Drawer Scalloped Front Dresser With Beveled Mirror in Wishbone Frame This dresser is a really nice find and is in good condition. The bottoms of 3 of the 4 drawers have some cracking on them. The wishbone frame and mirror do screw into the dresser and sit well. They were just being propped up in the photo because we are storing the two pieces separately. Nicely sized at 34" to top of dresser. 40" in length and 18" in depth. The frame and mirror are 38" in height. Thanks for looking! Items come from a smoke free home although some items may have once lived in a smoking environment. Very old antique oak piece that belonged to my grandfather. He had this piece when I was five 50 years ago so I know it is at least that old. It has not been refinished. Has the original mirror and sticker on back showing where it was produced. Has original wooden knobs and one is loose. Has two scratches on right side of drawers as pictured and one old wet ring on left top as finished. Have not refinished this piece to remove these marks. 5 drawer oak dresser early 1900's raised shelf upside down heart cut outs in the mirror brackets beveled swivel mirror wooden wheeled feet floor to dresser top 31" wide 41.5" deep 18.5" height including mirror 64" This dresser is in very good condition overall. The mirror is in great shape. There is a crack on the top surface that will not impact the usability. There is slight damage to the corners of the right top of the mirror frame, the bottom left of the mirror frame and the front left of the dresser top, the left post that holds the top portion of the dresser in place is missing but the hole is not visible when the dresser top is in place, one of the drawer handles does not match exactly the others but it is very hard to tell and somewhere along the line a portion of board was replaced but it can only be seen ... moreby removing the drawers.
