Antique Hand Carved Three-Piece Figural Staircase with Mermaids, NHR1
A stunning antique three-piece hand-carved figural staircase with mermaids. Sea creatures, women, and flowers. Salvaged from a house built in 1939, this set features astonishing detail, and includes two long pieces for a stair handrail and a smaller section designed for a landing. The first handrail section, intricately carved on both sides, begins with a woman with flowing hair, surrounded by water lilies and other flowers, atop carved waves. Below, a second girl rides a whiskered sea creature amid aquatic plants; at the bottom, a little girl hides among leaves. The landing section, carved only on one side, features a large fish at the bottom of the sea, surrounded by carved plants, flowers, and rocks. The second handrail, also carved only on one side, features a mermaid in the center, flanked by large fish amid leaves and flowers. Antique Hand Carved Solid Teak Columns
Two antique hand-carved solid teak wood columns. Selling the columns as a pair only. The column is 91" high with a 10.5" high wood top and 9" high stone base. Overall height including column. Top, and stone base is 9' The stone base is 12" x 12" x 9"tall. The wood top measures 12.25" x 12.25" x 10.5"tall. The base of the column part is 8" in diameter and the top of the column part is 6.5" in diameter. They were imported from Europe. We purchased them in 2000 during the construction of a new home and never used them. They have been stored in our garage since we purchased them. They are in good, usable condition. Columns are located in Northwest Phoenix, Arizona. Local pickup is preferred, but shipping arrangements can be made separately for additional cost.

This was salvaged from an old late 1800's brick Iowa two story Victorian church parsonage house that was torn down. It measures 60" in height. Made from cherry wood stock. Post has been stripped very clean and is ready for stain and finish. It is missing some trim molding for the upper section as well as the cap. I used to have it but the pieces have gotten misplaced over the years and are gone now but can be easily trimmed with any other kind of old similar molding and caps aren't hard to find. 1800's Antique Stair Ballister NEWELL POST Victorian / Eastlake Carved Wood
For your Bidding consideration in this Auction is a very early NEWELL POST in Victorian/ Eastlake Style. It is elegantly carved on all 8 sides. This came out of an Estate in Daytona. Florida and had been converted a long time ago from Stairway Newell Post to a stand holding a large Bronze Bust. You can see in the photos were it had been converted expertly back in the day. The top section is flat and judging from the work gesso or some other plaster had been used in process of affixing the flat top to the post. The original electric wire is still coming out of the base that would have been the electrical feed for an ornate bronze lamp which would have sat on top of the Newell Post. Four Antique Carved Wooden Dais for Dignitaries!
Two pairs(4) of Antique Carved Wooden Dais(posts that make a platform) from Belgium. These 4 ornately carved dais(possibly walnut) are 78" in long with a 3.75" metal spindle at ends = 81.75" total length. Each is a turned post with an acanthus leaf-like pattern. They are all exactly the same. In pattern, length and width. They measure 2.25"in diameter at their widest. These posts were used to carry a dignitary or statue in olden days and still have the cast iron metal"paddles" on them to that were used, I believe, to carry the platform or balance on their shoulders. Antique Ornate Carved Wood Architectural Salvage Column Top Or Display Shelf
This is a beautiful antique ornate carved wood architectural salvage column top which can also be used as a display shelf. I'm fairly certain it dates from the late 19th century. 1880s or 1890s. It measures 7 7/8 inches tall(20 cm) Depending on which you call the top or the bottom. One measures 12 5/8 inches x 5 1/2 inches(32 cm x 14 cm) and the other measures 8 1/2 inches x 3 1/4 inches(21.6 cm x 8.3 cm) Given its many fleur de lis and the way it was made. I believe it's French. There are no nails, only glue, wood pegs and splining. There is a 1 inch(2.54 cm) x 1/4 inch(63 cm) chipped off piece of wood in the center a few inches from the top(or bottom) One of the large pieces of carving in the corner has a scrape to the front(please see photo) Other than this. There are a few dents, nicks, chips, scratches, scuff marks and age-related ... morecracks. But overall, it's a great looking piece and is very sturdy. I took most of the photographs with the large part on the bottom. But it can be used either way. It weighs 3 pounds 7 1/2 ounces(1.57 kg)
