Pair of circa 1890-1900 turned porch column posts. Unique turning- have not had this style in a# of years. The posts are 90& 87" long. The longer one. Shown in the first photo on the left has a bit of rot on the bottom- it could be cut down to 84" you'd have a good solid post devoid of any rot. They both are 7.75" square on the ends. Huge set of porch column posts or Piers from a circa 1890 classical style victorian home. Measure 93" tall- are fluted with 10" square shafts and are 13.5" square on top capital and bottom base. There is a 6' run of railing- the railing is 28" high with 5" wide hand rail on top. Balusters are 2.75" square and 20.5" tall. Great set- most likely for a porch overhang. Could be re-used interior or exterior. Great old shabby chippy peeling yellow paing. Antique- Victorian 1880's Wood Staircase Railing. Newel Post, Architectural Salvage Note: This is from a Top of a set of stairs. A Railing with matching Newel Post- It's Not from a Run down a set of stairs- But could be altered or cut down. The Newel Post is: 39-1/2" tall x 7" thick, has a 7" extension on bottom that was secured to a Floor Joist for support, All of it has it's Original Finish- This needs a good cleaning or restoration. The Railing is in an"L" shape, The longest section is 67-1/2" long& the Shorter section is 32-1/2" long. There are 18 holes for the spindles and Only 14 spindles, The Curved section of the railing Is split in half and can be glued back together or Used as a Template to fabricate another-The Hand Rail is 1-3/3" thick and 3-1/2" wide. Antique Black Cast Iron Victorian Lady's Head Hitching Fence Post All Original
Up for your consideration is a fancy 19th century Rare Hitching Post. This post has the Victorian Ladies Heads going around. All molded in Cast Iron detail. There is one side bare and we are not sure if it had a head there or was just the side facing into the property. The paint is badly worn, but we have left it all original for the new owner to deside about the restoration.There are some losses to the sides, but they are not noticeable. This is a full size post standing about 39" tall by 8" square. We have not found a foundry mark, but there may be one on it underneath. SINGLE FRUIT CARVED VICTORIAN GRAND PIANO LEG CORBEL / BRACKET / LAMP BASE D
This is a single fruit carved leg from a Victorian era Grand piano. It measures aprox. 22 1/2" high excluding the dowel on top and is 12" from center to the outside edge. It would make a great bracket or corbel or could be converted to a table lamp. It has some obvious wear. Chips and missing pieces as you can see in the pictures and a number of age cracks. It may be best to cut the balance of the shoe off so you would have a flat surface to work with. This is one of four that we have listed as well as some other similar legs that are painted. This is a gorgeous victorian newel post that was in the basement corner when I bought my home. I live in the victorian art museum area of center city Philadelphia and many of our larger homes had beautiful newel posts like these. Most of them were ripped out in the 1950s when everyone wanted to modernize. This was still in the basement along with a railing. As you can see in the photos. It has a rich beautiful patina. I think it is walnut or maybe mahogany and measures 34.50 inches high. Because it is so big and very very heavy, I am only offering LOCAL PICK-UP. NO SHIPPING! Victorian Fretwork Stair Candle Holder/Fern Stand
Rare and hard to find is this fantastic piece of oak Victorian fretwork. Candle holder/ fern stand. Could have been mounted at the end of the stairs with a candle or in the doorway between two rooms as a fern stand, either way, totally hard to find, and is in fantastic condition. Stands about 79 1/2 inches tall,I think at one time it was connected to apiece of ceiling fretwork, which still can be. The widest point at the candle holder is 16 inches wide, down below the holder it measures 13 1/2 the floor base is 14 inches wide the plate is about 7 inches round and last is the wood that holds it to the wall is a little over 1 1/4 wide. the fretwork stops at 52 inches up from the floor. Highly Carved Antique Victorian Oak Newel Post Cap in Original Condition
Here's a very ornately carved cap to an oak newel post which must have come from some impressive Victorian building. This would look stunning either built into a stairway of a Victorian home or as an interesting accent piece. There are a few chips. Bumps and nail holes and it is also quite dirty. But I'll leave any cleaning to the new owner. Although beautiful as is. The original quartersawn oak finish would certainly benefit from a little oil and wax to bring out the grain. It measures 21" tall by a maximum width of about 9 1/2" and weighs in at a hefty 17 pounds of solid oak. Shipping is $16 within the US only and pick up in person is free. Good luck!

Antique stair post balustrade from torn down Victorian house 14 1/8 high (1of18)
Measuring 14 1/8 high this was originally a stair post in a now torn down Victorian house in Northern California. My consignor bought 18 and put nails in the top of most and used them for a big party in her yard as large candle holders. Some were painted. Some have lots of chips and all are the same shape. To restore a home or as the candle holders she made them, this listing is for 1-18 based on the numbers above that show how many are left.
