5 Vintage 7 1/2'' T Strap Hinges Barn Door Heavy Duty Architectual Gate Hardware
Here for your consideration is this set of 5 vintage heavy duty T strap hinges for the builder or decorator. This set looks to be unused they are in good fully functional condition with some scuffs and paint loss and some light rust spots. These measure on the long strap side 7 1/2' and on the short side they are 2' deep by 5 1/2' wide. Each hinge takes 9 screws, I am including 45 of the original screws they have some slight paint loss and some light rust, These hinges have the architectural raised up surface for a great look and extra strength, they have the button top hinge pins these are set up on for right hinges but the pins can be easily removed and changed to give you rights or lefts. Up for auction is a pair of large authentic vintage barn door hinges. They are heavy duty off set strap style with a decorative heart or acorn at one end. These hinges were purchased approximately 35 years ago in Oregon City. Oregon From a developer who had purchased what was then rural farm land. The old barns and buildings had been taken down and he was selling items recovered before deconstruction. I don't know exactly how old these are but I can tell you that the buildings had been there decades before they were taken down in the early 1980's. They have been sand blasted. Primed, and painted flat black with high quality enamel. They work superbly and are ready to be installed. The burrs around the hinge area were left for character. The strap is 24" long and with the hinge approximately 27 and 1/4" in total length and ... moreeach hinge weighs 4.7 pounds.
