This an original antique folding map engraved by W. A.K. Johnston is from"The Royal Atlas of Modern Geography" by Alexander Keith Johnston. Geographer to QueenVictoria, and is published by William Blackwood& Sons Edinburgh& London, 1863. The map shows excellent detail. The map shows a period of transition in the Western part of the United States. The map measures 62 cm x 49 cm, 24 inches x 19 inches. This map is in good condition. The map was printed before colour printing had yet to be perfected so the original colouring is done by hand. The map is printed on one side only and is perfect for framing.
