The map is not mounted, matted nor framed, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the main pic. There is a map of South America on the Reverse. Size: The map image measures approximately 12 by 14 1/2 inches on a 14 by 16 1/2" page Condition: The map is in Good to Very Good condition with overall tonal aging with some darkening around the edges. Basically as seen in the pics. There is some darkening around the margin, a minor bend on the upper corner, and a couple of light smudges in the margin, otherwise it is very clean with nice strong color that would frame up well. For your consideration is this antique wall map of The United States of North America. Or American Republic from 1846. It was published by S. Augustus Mitchell of Philadelphia, drawn by J.H. Young and engraved by J.H. Brightly.it measures 40" tall and 50" wide, there is only 1 wood bar present and it measures about 55" across. The top border has suffered the most with heavy wear and tear including a tear and a good deal of loss. The wear is lighter on the rest of the map, but still prevalent, and the map is quite brittle.
