The white marble has an ogee bevel edge. It has brass cast hardware. It has a center medallion on the large drawer. The hidden drawer on the base is extra deep and has a burl walnut accent face. There is a slight cup where it likely sat uneven (1/8” dip) on each side. It is likely that you won’t notice, but I wanted to be upfront about it. The dresser is in nice condition with burl walnut panels across the top of the shapely mirror, across the dove tail drawer fronts and carved columns coming down into 45-degree angles, nice hardware, hand cut dove tail drawers.

We purchased some really interesting pieces from this collector as he is downsizing, and this antique oak dresser was refinished about 20-30 years ago, and we did a couple of touch ups. This fantastic oak dresser is in nice condition in a medium oak stain finish. It has two small concave front drawers on the top and a large bow front drawer in the base for plenty of storage. The Victorian dresser has cabriole carved columns coming down into a detail claw foot, panel sides, multi-molded rolled front above the drawers, carved yolks that hold up the mirror.

I don’t like to always say this, but it resembles a piece from Horner although I don’t believe it to be made by Horner. It is certainly a high-end quality piece. It has an extra heavily 1.25 bevel edge mirror that swivels and is in good condition. The mirror is wrapped around by a solid brown mahogany frame with carvings all the way around, rope twist going up and the very top corners having angels carved in both sides. The base has a beautiful rose quartz bevel edge marble top. The miniature knobs on the base look like miniature doorknobs.

Vintage Barbola Style Dresser Easel Mirror Moulded & Painted Resin Beveled Glass
Up for auction is a vintage Barbola Style dresser mirror with a plastic paste(not gesso) crest of flowers and ribbon surrounding a beveled glass mirror and mounted on a wooden easel back frame. These mirrors were made in the 1920's and 1930's by making a plastic paste of resin and sawdust and moulding and painting the flowers and ribbon trim. The mirror is 10 1/2" tall and it is 8 1/2" across. It has two wooden bun feet in the front. It is not marked. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. Details This dresser wardrobe combination measures 44 inches wide 22 inches deep and 73 inches tall to the top of the mirror. It looks like brazilian rosewood. All the drawers slide smooth and have ring pulls. It has dovetailed drawers. The mirror is beveled and tilts. There is carving on the sides of the front of the piece and above the mirror. Antique solid oak dresser with beveled glass and tilting mirror. There are a couple of blemish spots on the mirror(upper right hand side) but otherwise the mirror looks good. The mirror with the upper back of the dresser are removable from the base for easier transport. The carving details are beautiful. One of the handles on the dresser recently bent and broke- believe the current hardware was a replacement for original hardware broken many years ago. This dresser has been in my family for 40 years.
