The map was issued in an American edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica. And the image area measures 15.8 cm x 22.8 cm[approximately 6-1/4" x 9" It is identified as Plate III, Volume XVI. 1870 map of Uxbridge, Ma. Hand colored, Detailed. Genuine.
This is an early 1870 map of Uxbridge. Ma. Very detailed. Measures. 15.5 X 12.5 inches. We have shown the scans of the map and a close ups to get a great idea of the beauty and workmanship that went into the detailed engraving along with the hand coloring not found on modern maps. All customers will get a standard sized paper printout of the Index page. Which will serve as proof for insurance purposes of the holding. This is more acceptable for appraisals than a computer generated C.O.A. Would look fantastic framed under glass. Imagine this map displayed in a professionals waiting room. A restaurant, or anywhere for that matter. Shadows and blurry edges are my scanner. Not the map. There is very minor soil here and there on the map, mostly where handled in the margins. The map has a pale yellow background and not the white seen in the pictures above. And is sharp and clear. There are some minor tears on the edges.
