Pound Hill and West Rutland P.O. Other landmarks include Ware river, Long Meadow Brook, Rice Hill, Masquapog Pond, Long Pond, Demond Pond, Turkey Hill Pond and Mill Brook. The small inset map of West Rutland shows two triangular parcels just west of where the current Barre Paxton Rd crosses over Long Pond. Rare large Hampden County. Massachusetts wall map by Henry F. Walling, superintendent of the state map, Boston. Published by H.A. Haley, 106 Washington St. Boston. The map measures 70 inches wide(74.5 inches if you include the top wooden pole) by 45.5 inches high. It shows in amazing detail the roads, residences with names of the property owners, railroads, public buildings, churches, schools, businesses, cemeteries, etc. that existed in 1855. Condition: These maps are almost always in poor condition. But this one is pretty good. It appears to be completely original-including the wooden poles at the top and bottom. Linen backing, and laminate covering the paper. Also, no significant portions of the map have flaked off. It does have some tears, discoloration, staining and has been taped on the back here and there where there are tears. It ... morealso has some sort of protective layer over the top seven inches of the map that appears to be a wide clear thin tape. I'm not sure if this was original or added later for strength. I will have the map professionally packed and shipped to you with insurance t for $27.50(domestic) and to other locations at cost. You can also pick it up yourself.
