Size: The image ... morearea measures 8 1/2 by 10 3/4 inches(22x27cm) within the neat lines and the entire page measures 9 3/4 by 12(25x30cm) as seen in the pic. Condition: It is in Fair to Good condition for its ages. Printed on a light buff page, blank on the reverse with original handcoloring. It is basically as seen in the pics. There are a few brown spots on it, one on Barnstable and one in the margin as seen in the pics, a creased bottom left corner, otherwise it is a strong impression and nice original color with an antique quality that would frame up very well, see the pics for more on condition. It is from the 1862 Edition of Johnson's Family Atlas and blank on the reverse. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. This particular map is fairly rare. Only appearing in a couple of the very early editions of the atlas' publication. A rare map that is probably the most elaborate of the period in detailing New England with interesting vignettes of Niagara Falls, the views of the three Observatories at Yale, Cambridge and Amherst and a view of Daniel Webster's homestead at Marshfield. Size: The map image measures approximately 16 1/2 by 24 inches on a 18 by 26 1/2" page and a margin all around for framing. Condition: The map is in Very Good condition for its age with overall tonal aging and original hand color and a centerfold as issued. Much better than shown in the pics. There are a few minor spots. Nothing distracting as seen, slight split at the ends of the centerfold as typical less than half inch, otherwise it is very clean with a nice antique appearance that would frame up nicely.
