Description: A rare 1866 nautical chart or maritime map Boston Bay. Boston Harbor, and environs. It covers the Massachusetts coastline from Cape Ann southward past Gloucester, Marblehead, Lynn, Boston and Cohasset to Green Harbor River. Offers astounding inland detail throughout noting individual buildings, roads, communities, fields, and smaller waterways. In addition to inland details, this chart features a wealth of practical information for the mariner including countless depth soundings, sailing instructions, tidal information, lighthouse locations, and notes on magnetic variance. The triangulation for this chart was prepared by C. O. Boutelle and Capt. T. J. Cram, with topography ... moreby H. L. Whiting, G. B. Gluck, A. M Harrison and R.M Bache. For a map/chart that is over 100 years old its in good condition has foxing and other signs of wear the pictures tell more than I can so please examine them all closely. The chart is very detailed measures 34"x 41"and has been stored rolled and in a cabinet, its a nice original unrestored chart, sorry no returns, as my collections must go before I move to the retirement home.
