Matched walnut burl has an wonderful satin finish with some tiny mars and shrinkage cracks to show it's age. Original hardware has genuine bakelite mounts on this European furniture. Drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints. The triple beveled mirror is removable. There are chips at the edges, see photos. Gorgeous Glamorous Vintage Dressing Table/Vanity
This is an incredibly beautiful vanity with its original ivory finish and tons of moldings and character! It has a 3 piece mirror with the 2 side pieces that swing in or out as needed like wings. The center part of the mirror is long and sits down in between the 2 pedestals. Each pedestal has 3 drawers. The vanity is on casters, and it also has the incredible rose and ribbon flourish at the top of the mirror. It is just so elegant. It measures 51" wide x 18-1/2" deep x 73" high. Antique Dressing Table Vanity or Dresser ca.1940's
1940's era dressing table or vanity, What little I know about this(age and type) I learned from the owner of a consignment shop that specializes in antique furniture. Drawers are dovetailed and fronts appear to be a laminate. The three panel mirrors are in good shape aside from chipping as shown in picture#5. Has various nicks and scratches and the finial at the top is cracked and has apparently come off and be reattached with a single screw. ROARING 1920'S DRESSING VANITY- BARBOLA SWAGS!! CHAIR, AND SILK BOUDOIR LAMP
This is THE reason I love antiques. They can capture an ambiance that new pieces simply can not. This set has three parts- The Sligh Furniture Company dressing vanity with full length arched mirror Circa 1920's. The damask upholstered barrel back dressing chair(which I believe is late 1800's) AND the satin covered shabby make up mirror with peach velvet rose(in working order- with original fabric cord! The colors of the chair and vanity are a greyish olive green with gold gilt- and the upholstery is a dusty sepia peach that ties in perfectly with the shabby shade on the lamp. This set is stunning- and functional and very comfortable use. It is clean and also a very rare find. The dressing vanity is covered in beaded trim- Barbola swags- and distressed paint. The top of the arched original mirror is finished off in a bow with cascading ... moreribbons. The vanity has two curved cabinet doors- inside is ample room for towels and bath salts- make up- etc. the interior of the cabinets even have a shelf both inside and on the interior of the door itself. The outer portion of the doors are dripping in swags and so on- SO 1920's! This set came from a home in Tennessee that belonged in a fairy tale. The setting and decor was eye watering to say the least. I have several things coming up for sale from this estate.so keep your eyes peeled. I also have an awesome alabaster Art Deco powder box with spelter figural flappers holding little alabaster bowls which is seen in some of the vanity photos that look amazing with this piece- it will be listed separately in case you are interested in that as well. This vanity is 68 1/2" high x 49 1/2" wide x 15" deep. This barrel chair mimics the curves in the vanity doors and makes for an extremely comfortable perch to rest in while styling your hair or applying your makeup. The little lamp above assist in casting additional light for your dressing needs while adding a warm ambiance to the room. The full length mirror is wonderful for seeing your entire ensemble once
