This beautiful Northern Furniture(Sheboygan. WIS) High Boy Dresser(possible Queen Ann style) measures 66" high x 33.5" wide and 21" deep. It has perfect brass hardware which has a oriental flare. Some surface scratches which will probably be cleaned up with a bit of hand work or scratch cover. It is very heavy and the buyer needs to move. Would look beautiful refinished, but useable as-is. Antique Child's Dresser Hand Made Early Painted Piece Mirror 4 Drawers Chippy
Primitive Antique Child's Dresser Great little Mirrored Dresser. Originally purchased at the Brimfield Antique Show in MA. This is a great little chippy piece. Do not know the history, my guess it was a hand made piece by someone with very good wood working skill. There is a nice carved pediment across the top over an early mirror. Turned columns on the sides of the mirror and nice decorative trim around the mirror. There are two shallow wide drawers and two square deeper drawers on the bottom. As you can see in the pictures one of the drawer bottoms was made from a wood crate and one of the sides also shows the imprint of a wood crate under the paint(see last picture) There are old metal wheels on the bottom. In good solid antique condition. The paint is worn and chipped, there is wear to the mirror with some silver loss, on the side ... morewhere the imprint of the crate can be seen there is a break to the trim wood on the back corner. On the old wood backing it looks like there is an old water mark. It has seen years of use. Still a great primitive chippy piece that could be left as is, or repainted for a bright clean finish. The top piece with the columns and the mirror is held on with screws and can be removed to cut down on shipping cost. Dresser measures 31" tall. 19" wide and about 12" deep. This is a very old mahogany chest of drawers. Edwardian style, the 1920's era; hand painted in black, distressed portion is stained mahogany to give it a finished look, finished with a citrus paste wax. The upper chest has a back splash that was kept the original mahogany wood with the inset in black. All the drawers are dove-tailed. The brass keyholes are original but do not lock. Handsome pair of dressers--Hall Tree ( bedroom bureau) & a charming Serpentine!
It's called a"hall tree" but we've felt that it's more appropriate to call it a bureau. We use it as a dresser. To complement the Serpentine. Very romantic piece, truly a focal point. Aged to perfection, looks like something out of an old Dracula movie. There are no unusual marrs or dings in the wood, just the usual"wear and tear" of an antique. Mirror CAN be re-silvered, but we think the spotting here and there adds to the antique charm. The piece has two drawers, and is 76 inches tall at the tallest point. It is 49" wide and 22" deep. Antique Childs Vanity...late 1920's to 1950's
Little girls play vanity with a single removable drawer that opens and closes and a matching bench. This was my mothers when she was a little girl in the 1920's and then I played with it when I was a little girl in the 1950's. Pale pink with blue trim and decals(lamb) on top of the bench and drawer. The mirror is moveable. Has a few nicks and chips from wear. But, any individual that enjoys refinishing furniture could make it look like new again. It measures 20 1/8" wide by 35" high from the bottom of the legs to the top of the mirror. It may be, but I think they lied about it. Judging by the one accidental chip when I was first moving it- It may only be stained to LOOK like Mahogany? I honestly don't know? Maybe I don't really know what Mahogany is SUPPOSED to look like? I always do my best to honestly represent my items. I'm just calling it the way I see it maybe somebody can educate me? It is. This is a wonderful antique mission/craftsman oak dresser with mirror for sale. Original wooden roller feet. And mirror is original. Since this is an old piece, the mirror has expected aging to the silvering. Overall the piece is solid and in good condition for its age with only minor scratches to the finish. The drawers open and close and piece is very sturdy. One minor issue with one side of the piece. Near the bottom of the dresser on the right side(as you face the dresser) are a few minor nicks where the original wood has chipped away. Instead of trying to match a stain to the piece, that area was left alone. Also, that same area has a slight bow in the veneer- which is not noticeable unless you are looking for it. Vintage 8 piece dressing table set with oriental theme Made In England
Lovely eight piece oriental themed dressing table set. Probably 1930's to 1950's in my opinion. All marked Made In England but no makers name anywhere. Unusual to see these sets with a tray. The mirror has a very nice bevelled glass in it. The oriental pictures are printed and not embroidered. All pieces in good condition except for the following points. The lidded powder bowl has no liner or powder puff and the picture is a little loose and the long handle on the hair brush has a dent in either side as seen in the last two pictures. Metal Dresser with mirror. Simmons Company sticker on back. Good Condition. With dents and dings on top. Has been painted black, but could be easily removed. The mirror is in Excellent condition. The knobs pictured are not the original. I have only 5 of the original knobs, but will sell with the dresser. It sits on castors. Research is showing circa early 1920s to late 1930s.
