Here is a set of 4 already matching that have the traditional"Rabbit Ear" design with a top stretcher. Six turned spindles create the back and fit into the second rail that is also pressed. The spindles are flat on the side that faces your back so that its nice and comfy. Seats were recanned 7 years ago but have been used since then and have wear where they need to be recanned. All have the bent wood Hip Huggers to strengthen that back joint. It's a superior design for longevity. These are antique chairs and have been used and have signs of wear and character. You will only have to recane them.

The seat is 6 ¼” deep and the overall depth is 8 ½” The feet and arms are beautifully carved wood. Possibly mahogany. The seat. Back and arms are upholstered in a fine green silk fabric, which has been painted with green, cream and red stripes to demonstrate, in scale, the actual full size fabric pattern. This chair, along with a matching Chippendale camel-back sofa and another upholstered easy chair and Pembroke drop leaf table were purchased as a set at an antique show in Santa Monica in 1987. At that time they were said t be 64 years old. Putting them at circa 1923, though they may well be older. The dealer had purchased them in Rockport, Illinois as salesman samples. The construction and upholstery all indicates that they were in fact made as salesman samples and not as an apprentice piece or doll furniture. The mahogany is beautifully carved and finished and in good condition. The joints are tight with no wobbly bits or cracks. There is an old. Stable repair to the stretcher bar on the bottom of the chair. The painted silk is fragile and in rough. Shabby chic condition consistent with age. There is loss of paint. Splits in the fabric and some staining. Please study the photos with the zoom feature to see these issues. No attempt to repair or restore this piece has been made and it is in original condition. This piece is incredibly charming despite the vintage condition and displays beautifully. It is extremely rare to find miniature upholstered pieces of this age. As most have not survived the years. This elegant sample. With suberb attention to detail, is a lovely testament to the history of the traveling furniture salesman. NOTE This auction is for the upholstered armchair only. Vintage art deco 3 drawer dresser. Good condition. Please review all pictures closely. Couple of things I noticed on the dresser. It has couple of l areas of blue paint on it one on the top corner and other small one the side. top has your average wear. Mirror I noticed when cleaning is starting to have haze marks. it has two spots of chips of the wood missing. front drawer and spot on the side bottom. On the left side I see some stain drips. It needs some minor restoration: the cane chair has a hole in it and the molding has come off of a few of the drawers and around the edge of the bottom of the table. One was nailed through. I have all of the pieces to it. Theres some water marks down around the bottom of the piece. These are not costly repairs a few hundred bucks to get it done right. This is a great set, very rare to find with the chair and working light. The wood is a beautiful fruitwood. The molding is painted light blue. The old silver mirror comes unhinged so that you can look at different angles of yourself in the mirror. The light was rewired at some point probably in the 1960's or 70's and is perfectly ... moresound. The drawers have their original box inserts and a Victorian painted shoe horn that was found in the drawer when I purchased it will be included with it. The vanity measures approx 76" tall x 48" wide x 17" deep. The chair measures approx 30" tall x 17" wide x 15" deep. The hole in the chair measures under 2" The set come apart into four pieces. The chair, the mirror, and the two sides with the drawers. The mirror is the biggest pain in the butt to move mainly because its awkward, the other pieces are not a big deal. A very nice antique. Circa 1920s- 1930's, carved walnut front and legs Louis XVI style petite chest of drawers. The sides are walnut stained maple, the secondary woods maple. All drawers contain their locks, brass escutcheons, and ring pulls. The left side panel has a few shrinkage cracks. Original finish. It measures 39-2/2" tall by 31" wide by 16" deep. The marble top has been broken into four pieces and neatly glued back.

This is a 1920's Custom Classic.Stunning Mahogany& Birdseye Maple Grains& Black. Polished Nickel Hardware I love restoring antiques and making custom furniture works of art. I acquired this beautiful piece needing lots of a fine restoration. I restored it from top to bottom and customized it along the way. Perhaps you will love the stunning end result as much as I do. All of the drawers were fully restored and slide beautifully.I added the 2 carvings on the lower corners of the upper cabinet.The drawers are all dovetail construction as you would expect on a high quality piece.The stunning mahogany and birdseye maple grains were buried under a failed and very opaque original finish. Very good condition commensurate with age. Antiquity coming through small parts of mirror foiling. Champagne wood finish is original. And well cared for on a 1950's classic deco vanity. The vanity stool and rotating puff(marked#777) are original upholstery(hard to find) w/ no tears. Vanity measures approx: 50" wide x 18" deep x 20" high. 61" to the top of the mirror from the ground.
