This antique/ vintage salesman sample makes a great chest of ... moredrawers for a doll. The wood is either mahogany or walnut. Chest has very nice carved feet front and back with bowed top as well as bowed front. It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. Bottom drawer measures approx 9 3/8" x 8" x 3 3/8" deep. Bottom drawer has original lock(no key) and is lined with a silver color paper which appears to be very old. Antique Federal style mirrored dresser or chest of drawers dating from the early 1900's. Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this piece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the swivelling mirror. This piece has six drawers ina 3 over 3 configuration. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in good condition. absolutely fabulous old old old dresser with original hanging mirror! original design elements on dresser backsplash/ drawer corners and around knobs on top drawers So Cute! I changed out the original wooden knobs on the top drawers to a vintage blue milk glass ~ love the contrast the dresser had been painted all of these colors you see but I don't think they were consistent layers I sanded back most of the outer layer to expose a deeper butterscotch/ mustard color with hints of peach/ pink/ white and aqua on the mirror spindles as you can see one side is almost a solid mustard. In a glossy enamel paint and the other side(end) is splotchy with a deeper gold the front is mostly a light yellow which could be sanded further to expose more of the mustard/ butterscotch and whatever else lies below ~ I lined the interior drawer bottoms with ... morevintage seersucker fabric in cream with a gold stripe it had wooden wheels on it but I removed them as they were worn out and almost square ~ you could add wheels if you wanted to as the holes are already there mirror has some crackling/grazing/slight fogging ~ still in pretty nice condition ~ gives a true clear image condition: sturdy ~ solid ~ not loose or shaky! in very good antique condition each drawer opening has the old metal guides on each side ~ dresser is missing a total of 2 ~ 1 on the middle drawer and 1 on a top drawer ~ drawers open easily and it doesn't seem to be a big problem ~ they would probably move a little smoother with those 2 guides installed and maybe even some waxing/lubrication on the drawer itself where it slides in and out top of the dresser has some wood/veneer cracking/splitting(minor) on one side ~ I have sanded but not glued anything ~ I like it the way it is but you may want to smooth it a little more ~ top has natural aging and crackling this particular dresser/ bureau is so unique and sweet and charming I don't have words enough! measures 35" high 39" wide 20" deep mirror extends 26 1/2" more in height mirror is 29&

Vintage Antique Chest of Drawers Dresser Bureau Inlaid Side table Reischmann NY
Beautifully ornate relief carved Reischmann dresser and matching side table. Rare piece. Not much info out there about this NYC mfg but they seem to have been in business in the late 1800's into the early 1900's. Top drawer has jewelry section. Nice shape. Drawers slide nice for a piece this old. The pulls that are missing are there- just removed and waiting to be put back in. No idea what the jewel is in that pull. 2 pieces of furniture. I am selling this for a Lady Friend of mine who is down sizing into a senior living facility and no longer has room for this piece. The piece has been in her family for 70+ years. I believe Este's began making Bedroom and Dining Room furniture in the late 1860's. Along with Pianos and Organs. From 1897 to 1911 they survived a tornado and fire. Around 1921 they sold to Berta Hathaway. I believe Hathaway subsequently filed for bankruptcy in 1939. This is the earliest piece. 106) I have personally seen for sale. I believe the piece is Oak. It is in very good to excellent condition with only a few minor signs of wear along the top front edge. The drawer pulls are Brass and the drawer corners are mitered. Antique Chippendale Cherry Bedroom set, Bureau, Chest of Drawers, & Bed
Chippendale Style Cherry bedroom set with a dreser with a mirror. A 5 drawer chest, and 1 single bed. Although I have the tailboard, it is currently a trundle bed so that there can be more space in the room when not in use, and easily flipped up to be a king size bed with two single mattresses for sleeping two. There are some marks on the bottom left of the drawer and it has had the heat of a radiator close to the side of the chest of drawers at some point in it's life. Neither of these things take away from the beauty of the set.
