For sale is a antique A. H. Davenport Co. Mahogany dresser with mirror. It has a peg slot for the mirror and small drawers to rest on. Nice inlaid carvings on both pieces. The drawer fronts are flame Mahogany with some inlaid and old skeleton key locks. The company is out of Boston and New York. This is a dresser from the early 1900's and in very good condition. It is old and has a few light scratches and I have not polished this dresser. Local pickup is welcome. I live here in Central Kentucky around 1 hour from I-65 or I-75. Thanks for looking at this auction! Up for bid are 3 pieces of Town House art deco furniture by Eastern Furniture Co est 1802. From what I can tell this is solid carved mahogany furniture with some veneer parts.I have tons of pictures so please drop me a note if you want more pics. The furniture is in pretty good condition for it's age and has some really nice detail work on the carved portions.It would be very expensive to make this type of furniture today for sure! I have not been able to find any information about the maker. What I do know is that this is very quality furniture that I've been in contact with for many decades! Look at the tight eyes of the maple. You can't find birds eye maple of this caliber on the market today. Mirrors do show some streaking because of age. Could easily be removed and restored. There is a minor split in the veneer(see close up photo 3rd from last) on the vanity. Measures 55-1/2" high to top of mirrors, 32 inches wide and 18" deep. 6 Draw Bow front dresser. Overall height is 52 1/4" 35" wide at the leg. 32" wide at the top. 23 1/2" full depth at the top. 21 1/2" at both ends of the top. Thus the top is bowed 2" Top three draws are slightly narrower then the bottom three draws. Some minor blemishes for an 80 year old piece of furniture. Witness marks from something sitting on the top are small indention's. Stamped on the back of the top are the numbers 8006 and 38. I have no idea what they stand for. Draw pulls appear to be original with a branch and acorns in the center of each pull. Rich Mahogany wood and finish. Piece is very heavy. After all this is real wood, not particle board.
