Up for sale is a signed Monterey 5 drawer dresser with tile in the top. Tiles are Tudor. 6x6- the dresser is in good condition with nice patina. It has the normal bumps and scratches but as you can see it is really nice looking and presents well. Iron straps on the feet- nice scroll at the top and iron handles. Corbels in the front add nicely to this piece. Shipping will not be cheap but if you live in CA I can possibly deliver it for a fee. You can come pick it up at my shop as well. Gorgeous oak dresser with triple curve top and triple curve on the top drawer. Five drawers in total. This had 3 coats of paint which I stripped and then polyurethaned the natural wood. I have not added the drawer pulls as I believe these are something of personal taste. All drawers pull/push smoothly. Measurements: 45" high/15"deep/29"wide. Located in northeast NJ. Cracked veneer on bottom drawer. 2" scratch on veneer on second drawer. 3 or 4 spots of chipped edges Great design. Solid hard wood with 40s Art Deco drawer pulls. Great piece however not pristine. There are bumps on edges of pieces. Few surface scratches due to the glass tops. Glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Overall great condtion outside of that mentioned. A beautiful. Well loved five-drawer chest of drawers. The wood is in generally good condition, but the piece could use refinishing. There is one crack on the face of one of the top half-drawers. All the solid-bottom drawers open easily and smoothly with dovetail joinery. All the hardware is contemporary. All in all. A fantastic piece that has served our family well for many years.

This is a beautiful. Antique, all-wood, hand-constructed, tiger oak 5-drawer tall-boy dresser. The dimensions without the mirror mounted are: 46 inches high x 40 inches wide x 18 1/2 inches deep. With the mirror the total height of the dresser is 68 1/2 inches. The drawers are dove-tailed and have beautiful original iron work. Being an antique. The drawers stick a bit, there's a light water mark on the top in the back and there's a spot of black paint, but it's nothing that can't be easily fixed(see photos) It has never been refinished.

This bedroom furniture was purchased in Pennsylvania in 1938 by my grandmother. The year before my mother was born. I have the receipt from the furniture store. My mother said she bought this in the early part of 1906( information from family letters) My mother also said my great- aunt was so proud of this dresser and liked that it had the wooden square animal drawer pulls on it and that was the main reason she bought it. I have no idea what the originally color was to this. Maybe white? I tried to figure it out by looking at the top but I know. I wanted to do some research on this dresser so I called a good friend of mine who knows a lot about American furniture and he said very little information is known about the Loomis Furniture Company. I then went to the web and found very little information also. I found out that they were originally in the lumber business and started in 1866. Vintage Mahogany 5 Drawer Dresser- Made by the West Michigan Furniture Company in Holland Michigan. Dates from the 1940's and is in wonderful solid. Sturdy condition. All wood. Exquisite detailing. Original drawer pulls. Exterior could use a clean up polish. 50" tall, 36" wide and 22" deep. Has dovetailed drawers measuring 2 at 9" deep, 1 at 6" deep and 2 at 5 1/4" deep. The West Michigan Furniture Company was the first large-scale furniture manufacturer in Holland. And the plant was the first local factory with electric lights. This enabled workers to adhere to a ten-hour work day. During the 1890s, a period of national recession, the company employed 20 percent of Holland's work force, even through the worst economic troubles. In 1899 employment peaked at 635 people.
