This fabulous early dresser is from Chicora Wood Plantation; an historical Rice plantation in South Carolina that was built in 1817. We believe this dresser to have its original rich finish. Original marble and mirror and the original early wood ring drawer pulls that are attached with wooden screws and blocks, and the original casters intact on the base. This high quality dresser has early dove-tailed construction on the dresser base top up under the marble and also on the drawer ends; and an old label with an original owners name handwritten with Chicora, SC written below on the base up under the marble. This dresser has a grand, majestic presence with incredible carvings and details; and amazingly left in its original state.you can almost feel the history in this piece when you touch it.incredible! This grand 19th century dresser measures 89 1/2 inches tall to the top of the fancy carved crest on the mirror. This beautiful. Vintage, Ammerican-made, solid wood, bow front dresser would make a wonderful addition to any bedroom suite. Hand crafted from solid wood, mostly likely oak, this dresser is of quality construction, with dovetail joints and has a beautiful finish. Mounted-on castors make it easy to move this piece at will. It comes with the original, beautifully aged, oval mirror, however, the frame and support for the mirror is broken and/or missing parts. They were supposed to all be in a drawer in the dresser when purchased at Estate Sale in March, however, the mounting pieces were not included and the mirror frame is in multiple pieces and not entirely there. Ready for a new home. It has two upper drawers, and two long lower drawers. The drawers are hand dovetailed. The front is serpentine in shape, with a scalloped lower apron. There is very attractive applied carving on the mirror harp, and on the crest of the mirror. The dresser has slightly curved front legs with wheeled castors. The brass hardware is original and in very good condition. There are locks on all of the drawers, but no key. The beveled mirror is original to the dresser. Antique Vintage Serpentine Mahogany 12 Drawer Dresser Mirror Bow Front Buffet
Hi this is a great matching mahogany 12 drawer serpentine dresser and mirror in very good used condition. The mirror is a wall mounted mirror and does not attach to the dresser. I am willing to sell the mirror separately for the right price. The dresser is wonderful with a platform base and symmetrical sides with very cool curves. The dresser measures 60 1/4" long 20" deep and 33 1/2" tall. The top is 1 3/8" thick. The side drawers are 19" wide internally and graduated heights. The top is 3" then they get taller by an inch as you go down 4" 5" and 6" on the bottom. The mirror has no chips cracks or breaks and the silver is good and even throughout and it measures approximately 52" by 33 3/4" I am selling this for a friend who has had this in the family a long time and never mounted the ... moremirror over the dresser. The stain on the mirror is a bit darker than the dresser as I believe it was not used and in storage most of the time. The mirror is wood backed and has mounting wires on the back and is ready to hang. I am in San Jose and delivery in the bay area is ok. You can also arrange to preview this set before bidding. Beautiful Antique Washstand in a Late Victorian Style with 3 Drawers. 1 Cabinet, and Ornate Metal Pulls. The washstand is made of oak; almost a tiger style oak. Finished in a dark wood stain/tone. The top panel has serpentine front and sides, and the top drawer has a serpentine front. There are 2 additional pull-out drawers and a cabinet/cupboard below the top drawer. All metal pulls are original to the piece and are very ornate. Framed panels on both sides and on the backside. UP FOR AUCTION Very Nice High Boy Dresser made of Oak. I do not believe hardware is original! Great shape dresser with both dovetailed front and back of drawers.Serpentine front, Claw feet and wooden casters. There is a small character flaw on bottom drawer that I think was a burn mark but not sure. Has nice cubby with Ornate carved door that has curved shape. The wooden back and top also are both in excellent shape! Is old and may have some scratches and flaws but overall is very nice and was refinished well. Casters all work good and easy!
