Not sure whether it is a salesman sample or a miniature collectible, but it is a very nice primitive piece. Not sure what the wood is, it is painted with old pale green paint Three drawers with original wood drawer pulls, the top pull is different, not sure if it was broken, nicely constructed with beadboard sides and empire detail. Old unfinished wood on the back, with the top third missing. The top drawer is missing its back and there is a small piece or wood trim missing on the bottom left(see pic 6) Very nice little piece in good primitive antique condition. It has couple of l areas of blue paint on it one on the top corner and other small one the side. top has your average wear. Mirror I noticed when cleaning is starting to have haze marks. it has two spots of chips of the wood missing. front drawer and spot on the side bottom. On the left side I see some stain drips. This is the oldest dresser I have ever seen. I entered 1800-1899 in the form provided by eBay. But it could be older than that. It is built very solidly. Shows signs that it was painted biege at one time and the paint was striped and it was refinished at least once. Please check out all the photos to see the condition of this dresser. Very Neat Folk Art Antique Miniature 3 Drawer Chest Of Drawers &Mirror "DB 1923"
Very Neat Folk Art Antique Miniature 3 Drawer Chest Of Drawers&Mirror"DB 1923" American. Probably Pennsylvania Circa 1923. Found in the Ephrata, PA area. Signed"DB 1923" on the inside of the uppermost drawer. Please viwe the slideshow here: Neat little chest of drawers comprising of three nail constructed drawers with hand chamfered drawer bottoms. Resting on turned feet, and a mirror in classical empire style frame. the entire chest is washed over in a red wash stain or paint, and the drawers are outlined in a gold or yellow paint banding. the sides of the case are painted with the same yellow/gold painted banding. the drawer fronts are sold walnut, and the rest of the case is constructed of pine. 100% original condition. great original aged patina, in a warm red colour. no hurts or major damages, aside from minor ... moredings associated with 90 years of use.
