Antique American Miniature Chest of Drawers Hand Painted Decoration Early Doll
This middle 19th century chest is crafted of ash and walnut with thin pine wood backing and square nail construction. It measures 12 ¼” tall x 13 ¼” wide x 7 ½” deep and has lovely turned walnut knobs and lively side cuts at the base. The top and drawer faces feature red striped edges framing free-hand floral decoration in red and green under an original layer of golden varnish. The drawer fronts are excellent; the top has a split along the back edge. Round water marks and wear to the paint. This chest is fresh from a northern Indiana estate and has un-touched dirty surface. I don’t think the surface has been enhanced since the 1800s but you will note numerous round, wire nail repairs along the back rabbet into which the back slips with some splits and wood loss. This is certainly one of the best quartered oak carved washstands manufactured during the late 19th century. A fabulous piece that can be used as a dresser in a bedroom. Both the drawer and the two doors are serpentine with original brass pulls. A shaped and beveled mirror in very good condition. Absolutely Gorgeous Birdseye Maple Dresser& Mirror.From 1917 Life is short. Surround yourself with beauty! A spectacular piece of American made furniture that glows with its wonderful birdseye maple. This was made by the Northern Furniture Company which was located in Sheboygan. Wisconsin. The company logo is branded inside the top middle drawer. I am very certain of the date this piece was made.since it was stamped on the back(as required at the time) of the mirror glass. The original mirror was damaged so I had a new custom mirror made.The new mirror is a work of art itself, it was hand beveled(not machine made) following the contours of the frame, it looks fantastic. I restored this piece meticulously from top to bottom. Including some veneer restoration. Of course the drawers feature high quality dovetail joinery at all four corners ... moreof the drawers. The drawers were all taken apart and fully restored, strong and rock solid,they slide excellently.I restored the entire finish with many, many coats of hand rubbed varnish, bringing out the wonderful character of the all the wonderful maple grains. A fact about the birdseye.it is called"heavy birdseye maple"this means it has the most birdseyes per square inch of all birdseye maple. This"heavy birdseye maple" is extremely rare and highly sought after. You will notice the stunning darker brown highlights(photos) in wood such as on the front legs and the mirror frame. These are natural highlights in the wood. The birdseye maple is thick veneers. The solid maple knobs are original to the piece. the solid brass keyhole covers I added for flair. All of the locks work perfectly, with the new key.This piece is built like a tank, made with solid maple. Antique Federal style mirrored vanity dating from the early 1900's. Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this piece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the three-part folding mirror. Two small. Dovetailed drawers sit to each side of a long shallow central drawer with a lock. Sorry, no key! Slender tapered legs support the structure and give this piece a light, airy quality. This piece is in very good condition. There are a few very tiny dots of silverloss to the mirrors(they would not show up in pictures) But no cracks or other damage. For sale is a Louis XVI portico clock set. The maker is Marti and it recieved the Medal of Honor in 1900. The base material is white polished marble with streaks of dark grey and amber. The clock and urns are decorated with ormolu. The clock face is porcelain with Arabic numerals and a delicate hand painted floral pattern around the numerals. The hands are ornate French hands. The urns are teardrop shaped on a round pedestal. The movement is an 8 day movement(wind it once a week) The clock rings on a sweet French bell on the hour and half hour. The clock has been cleaned. Oiled, and serviced and is in running condition. There are two minor condition issues on the back side of the clock. The brass at the base of the center column is partially cracked. There is also a small marble chip on the top, back of the clock urn. Both can be seen in ... morethe photos. Antique Federal Style Flame Mahogany Dresser w/ Mirror Chest of 6 Drawers Bureau
Antique Federal style mirrored dresser or chest of drawers dating from the early 1900's. Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this piece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the swivelling mirror. This piece has six drawers ina 3 over 3 configuration. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in good condition. There is some noticeable silver loss to the mirror(see pictures) but no cracks or other damage. The wood has some noticeable wear associated with age, including chips and breakage to the veneers or inlay, including the lamp maedallion at the top of the mirror. See ... morepictures. There is also a chip out of the left side finial and the right side finial is missing altogether. The knob that goes over the swivel action of the mirror on the right side has come off, but we do have it. The wheels of the casters do no turn easily and probably need to be oiled. No other breaks or repairs. The bureau stands 72" tall and is 50 1/2" wide and 23" deep. The mirror has maximum dimensions of 43" X 29" We do have other pieces that match this one available. American Chippendale Bachelors Chest Drawers Dresser Nightstand, Antique c.1770

Feet mostly original w/ repairs and restorations, c. 1770-90 Item# 120010OEY02 This is a beautiful bachelor's chest with fine proportions. Crafted of solid cherry wood throughout all primary surfaces. The case is crafted entirely using dovetail joinery, noting the sides which lock to the top with a half-blind dovetail, covered with a fine molded rim; the bottom mirrors the top construction, and the drawer divider bars dovetail into the face of the chest. These are of only partial depth, not full dustboards, typical of New England designs as it lessened the overall weight of the chest. The facade is four graduated drawers with bold batwing brasses, each replaced using nearly the same holes, ... morethe brasses of the same age as the chest. The drawer construction shows exquisite attention to detail, note the channeling along the top of the drawer framing, a design characteristic of Massachusetts(though also seen throughout other New England states) The sides of the chests wear fine brass carrying handles, each of magnificent proportions with original hand forged screws locking them to the chest. They are likely added to the chest, though since the chest would not have had brasses on the sides of the chest to start with this is difficult to prove. The chest rests on scroll cut bracket feet, mostly original with mostly original blocking, the right side of the feet replaced in exact replication of the rest of the chest. This is a gorgeous piece. A visual delight and crafted with utmost attention to detail. The cherry boards have a wonderful jagged flamed grain with just a tinge of the soft red hue associated with a natural cherry. With a clean overall appeal and a deep patina glowing through the high polish finish, this is a piece that will enhance your living spaces. Vanity with mirror, and bench This furniture belonged to my grandmother who was born in 1898 The markings on it say"Colonial Furniture Company Bassett Virginia 1936" These pieces have not been refinished and have nicks. Scratches, and a couple of cigarette burns. The bench has been recovered and the fabric is in good condition The dresser measures 17 1/2" deep x 46" high x 32" wide. The vanity measures 17" deep x 28" high x 45" wide. The vanity mirror measures 34" high x 22" wide. It is offered to you in excellent vintage condition, wearing its original aged cherry mahogany finish. You can see the wonderful ribbon striped grain in the photos. In excellent condition to match, beveled all around& set in a swivel frame that attaches to the top of the dresser.
