This is a vintage Perko Lantern that was taken off of a working New York tugboat during a recent electrical renovation. It is not wired It is made of Galvanized steel. This one has an orange Bezel. Vintage All Original Perko Perkins Port & Starboard Lanterns with Burners
Offered is a pair of vintage Perko or Perkins(Miami. Florida) port and starboard lanterns in original condition. They are triangular in shape measuring 13” tall(16” including handle) approximately 11” across the curved front, and each side is 6” deep. Both lanterns have a wonderful patina consistent with age but do not appear to have been used… the burners and chimneys are clean, with original wicks. Each has a couple of minor dents and one of the chimneys has some wear at the top. Otherwise, condition is fabulous if, like me, you love this type of patina. I’m not sure of the metal, but it looks like copper? A magnet does not stick. If you are looking for perfectly polished and shiny lanterns. These are not for you. Vintage Red and Blue / Green Bow lights Solid Brass, never used! Perko
You are receiving both the red and blue lights in this auction. They are older. But seem unused, perhaps a project that never got finished. I have also listed a stern light separately, I am unsure if they are for the same boat, so I separated them. The pictures detail areas were the brass looks unfinished, it is just where the joints were soldered. Each light is 5 inches tall at the highest point and measure just under 4 inches deep from inside corner to the outer rounded area. They are very nice and can be either lit up green and red in the glass area if desired by a switch or used a single or double lamp by individual chain pulls. These are in excellent working condition. this lot contains a Vintage Brass PERKO Marine Nautical ship RED pole Lantern Early 1900s. it has been modified to electric a long time ago. It was wired for ship use as it has a ground wire as well? it has a very thick red glass with a few chips& cracks from use& age. nothing that compromises it's usage or condition. it weighs 11 pounds& is 10" x 6" the light itself has been tested& works. it has not been cleaned or polished by us, although it looks like someone took scouring pad or steel wool to some areas, none of which has caused any permanent or bad damage, but you can see these areas in pictures. the one crack we found is only on the inside of glass& can only be seen when held up to light& spun til found. Very Rare Masthead Signal Lantern made by Perko from the early 1900s. This piece is in remarkable shape including a lens with no cracks. The Brass/Bronze casing has been painted black. But you can see the true color in the pictures. A great maritime treasure. The PERKO trademark was registered by Perkins Marine Lamp. Inc. in 1922. The casing is made of heavy cast brass or bronze. You are bidding on a vintage Perko Nautical Ship Lantern Electrical Marine Light. Made in the USA. The lantern has a very cool maritime look to it. Made with what I think is an all brass canister wrapped with a galvanized cover. No rust! This was a very well made lantern and will last forever. Tested with nine volt battery and works! Very cool old Perko gimbled Marine oil lamp with hornet burner. There is great patina on this brass or bronze item. You can also see copper color. A unique item to add to your collection or to use. VINTAGE PERKO BRASS/GLASS BOW LIGHT VINTAGE PERKO BOW LIGHT Up for sale is a nice estate find vintage Perko bow light for a boat/nautical vessel. It is made out of brass and has one side with green ribbed glass and the other side with red ribbed glass. There is also a divider made of brass that separates the two colors from view of passing ships on the high seas(sometimes seen missing or damaged on other lights) The brass has a nice patina from many decades of life. There is a decent size dent on the slightly-domed top(please see photos) The side of the light is marked with Perko's logo and company info. Being made in Brooklyn,NY. My guess as to age would be from around the 1930s or 40s. It could be even earlier-back into the 20s or so- but I'm not certain. The glass is in good condition. With no major breaks, cracks or scratches. ... morethere is normal wear consistent with age on both red and green glass(in the center particularly- please see photo) Also. Each of the red and green also have a very small chip in one of the thin ribs that runs laterally across the glass. Overall this is a really nice piece of maritime/nautical memorabilia, that could even possibly be used in a full-blown restoration of an old Chris-Craft or something. Vintage Very Large"Perko" Ship Lamps Port& Starboard Red& Green Fresnel Matched Pair Maritime Marine Boat Lamps/Lanterns Here's a matched pair of nautical lamps made by Perko of Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Brooklyn N.Y. U.S.A. The red and green fresnel lenses are in excellent conditions with some great bubbles from when the glass was formed. They are made of galvanized sheet metal with brass or copper tops and openings on the bottom. The galvanized metal is very solid with very little areas of surface rust. nothing major. These are original vintage Lamps dating from somewhere between the 1930's to the 60's based on their websites timeline. Actual manufacture date is unknown. The lamps are 18" tall. 22" tall with the handle extended, 10" wide and 18" across the front. I purchased ... morethese lamps 28 years ago with the intention of wiring them. They've been carefully stored indoors waiting for the project to begin. I never got around to wiring them. It's time to pass them along to a new owner. Bulbs and wiring or burners are not included. Lighted Bulbs were placed inside the lamps temporarily for photographic purposes to show how the lamps may look when illuminated. The gas burners weren't with them when I acquired them. These lamps would look great mounted at a pier. Dock or a boathouse. was initially known as Perkins Marine Lamp. Inc. The original focus was on the manufacture of hand formed sheet metal products for the marine market. The first catalog was published in 1916, with a product line as diverse for its time as PERKO's catalog is today. NICE Old Antique Vintage 1930's 1940's Chris Craft Perko Brass Pole Glass Light. This is an originnal. Complete and unaltered pole and light. It measures 25 inches high. The diameter measures 3/8 inches. The diameter of the glass ball lens measures 1 1/2 inches. The glass has no cracks or chips. There is a bulb inside that has not been tested. I have not taken it a part. The original cloth cover wire extends from the bottom. There is no damage to the brass pole. I do not know exactly what this came off. For bid is the Old Nautical Lot pictured. There is a new Perko replacement plastic anchor light cover and a used one. There is a pedestal anchor light with cracks in the cap& a used cap. This one has holes for a flag(approx. 5 1/2" gap) There is a transom light with wear that did light 12V. There is a chrome plated brass gas cap with chain(1 3/4" across at threads) Last are 4 flag holders with different angles and hole sizes. One is marked Perko. It is a flush angle mount that someone drilled drain holes in the base. The hole size is just under 1 1/4" The other is a straight flush mount with a 1" hole. The straight outside hole is approx. 1" and the angled outside holder is also approx. 1" Most items will need re-chroming for actual use. Buyer pays actual shipping by weight(5 lbs. and location.

Vintage Copper PERKO Nautical Ship Lantern Electrical Marine Light Gulf Oil
This 16 1/4" tall electric lantern with an all original patina and toggle switch is from the estate of Howard Craven. He was a ship captain for the Gulf Oil Company until he retired in the early 1950's. When he then took up painting ships with oil on canvas. His father was also a ship captain, so I'm not sure which one used this lantern. It is all copper than I can see. It would be beautiful polished up, but I chose to leave it as is for those of you that would prefer it in it's original condition. Found at an estate sale and just passing it along. The Perko lantern has a weighted base and swings on a gimbal mount and is in excellent shape less a good cleaning and of course fuel and a new wick. There are no dents at all guaranteed. The lantern stands 6' tall without the glass globe. Looks to have the original globe and is in good shape also. A great addition to any old maritime theme. Vintage clear glass behive style lens for chris-craft.Garwood,wood boat,besotes,hacker, century. It measures 2 1/8" inside to inside of mouth measures 3 1/2" tall and measures roughly 3" across. glass is dirty but looks to may hairline crack I took picture of top to show but it is not deep. this was a barn find with lots more to be listed. has perko etched in the glass. please ask questions or any knowledge will be helpful. I bought this original PERKO Lantern to put at the front door at our summer home. I just love the look of the old patina on the lantern but there was just one little thing I over looked when I bought it. MY WIFE! She likes New& Shinny. Well now it's even a few years older and not doing me any good if I can't display it. The lantern measures 12 1/2 inches high not including the top handle. It's 6 5/8s wide and 5 1/2 deep. Made of tarnished brass and comes with light canister with wick and hanger from the back. Well My Loss is Your Gain! I'm starting the bidding at $99.00 which is far less then I paid for it.
